Hi everyone! This is my first time posting and I have a couple of questions about POFQ. We are going during the 2nd week of June,2006. I was wondering if anyone else has been during this time and could tell me what the crowds are like. I have had some people tell me they are more moderate because it is right before alot of the schools let out. My second question is this, how do you get all these great codes I see everyone getting? I have a room booked witha AAA discount to make it $132 per night. That is better than the regular rate of $155 but it seems I could do even better. Any help would be so great! This is our first trip on Disney property, I can't wait! THANKS EVERYONE!

First - Welcome to Disboards!! You're gonna love it here!!

2nd week in June is pretty good. Not usually too hot yet; crowds are starting to build, but like you noted - some schools are still in session.

As far as the "codes" - you're good to book with AAA for now. You'll probably have to wait until around April 2006 to see if any codes will be available for your trip; such as "free dining plan". You can then have you ressie changed to take advantage of the code. In the meantime, stay with us here; ask any questions you may have; and get excited about your upcoming vacation!! June 2006 may seem like it's a long way off, but it'll get here before you know it!!

DD was afraid of the thunderstorm. No thunder yet. Taking the boat to Downtown Disney.

We're on our way... guess where? Do you guys notice anything... Look at the place... It's empty!! It's like a ghost town here! And that's what makes this place so peaceful... and quiet most of the time!

Fantasia, we were there the same time at POFQ 7/30-8/8. You're pics are better than mine-you must have a better camera! Did you have the problem with the sunglasses and the camera fogging up when you left your room in the AM? We were in building 1-sometimes we were saying "I wish I was in building 3" because it would've been quicker to get our cups after the parks, but all in all it was great! Where do you live that you get to go to WDW so often? I'm jealous and I've even been there a lot lately!

I've just been lucky to find great airfare. We try to go cheap by using my AAA discount and I would bring some dry goods and juice boxes and water. We do a lot of counter food. It's better that way cause my children are picky eater. As simple as PBJ sandwich, they are happy. I don't buy too much souviniers because we already have them from previous trips.

I love bldg 3! It is a perfect location for us. We are away from the pool noise, but not to far from it and the food court and the bus stop. And I just love to walk down those charming little streets!

Thanks so much for all the great info! I will hold on to my AAA discount and keep looking out for the better ones near the time we go, I have hope! I love this thread and I love looking at all the great pics, I think I am looking forward to staying at POFQ as much as going to the parks!

I have seen some great photos here and love them all! I have heard of alot of people having stayed in building 5 but I never see any photos of it. I would love to see some of it and it's courtyard if anyone has any ,please share them with me!!! THANKS

You're very welcome! Glad you enjoyed the pixs! I wish I could be there in five days!! You guys will have a blast!! If you have time, take the boat to Riverside and ride the bike (not the surrey) and then go for a swim there and while you're at it, have a snack at the food court there so you can experience the Riverside, but just not the room. Oh don't forget to bring your refill mugs! We did this twice (but swam only once) and it was fun! Enjoy!

we've got ten days and it should be low-ish crowds, so we hope to do some commando parks in the mornings and some resort leisure in the afternoons... biking is on our list, as is boating and swimming! LOL! we definitely want to check out riverside as well... hoping to catch Bob Jackson at the River Roost

Unfortunately, POFQ closed their marina (for rental boats and rental bikes), and that's why we ended up at Riverside to rent the bikes. And thanks for the compliment!

I just found out that my sister is moving from Pop Century to POFQ tonight!!!! I'm joining them tommorow, so back to POFQ in August again!!

I told them which building to pick if they are given the option! I hope they like it!

I have a question, do you get the mickey soap and shampoo in the bottles here or does POFQ have those tacky dispensers like the All Stars?
