The #1 worst thing about a dw vacation....

The worst part for me is when I can't get those pesky, hitch-hiking ghosts to come home with me and do all that dirty laundry.

At the very least, they should help me get thru MCO security....... just sayin'......

:goodvibes:

 Haven't had that happen in all 9 trips.

I'm going with unpacking and laundry when we get home.

I've been catching up on laundry the last couple days. I always go through the pockets beforehand and I found myself hoping to find something. Just a receipt or a napkin or something as a memento. It was such a wonderful trip!

The worst part is loading the car on the morning we leave for home. You see all those people getting ready for a glorious day at the parks and you have a 10+ hour drive ahead of you - and back to work the next day.....

Of course I spend the entire first morning back at work talking about our trip with the Disney fanatics at work. We have a small network of WDW lovers.

The Worst!- Going to Disney the 2nd time ever and First Time Ever Staying onsite and have mold in our room that made us sick, housekeeping that is horrible (not making beds, not taking out trash, throwing our top bed spread on the floor or on our bed bunched in a ball, weird dirty towels on our daughters bed that did not come from our Room.) Never having them give us another room because of the mold (they just bleached the huge spot- bleach smell so bad you could hardly be in there)...

But hey I still love Disney Parks- just not my hotel stay!

Also the worst- being so sick you can't go to parks, dinner reservations and the Dessert Party we were looking forward to, but never made it.:sad1::sad1::sad1:

The #1 worst thing about a dw vacation.....

The Monday morning after!!!!!!
~LOL, I totally agree!!! That last day rolls around so quickly & I'm never prepared for it!

~Boarding Magical Express for the ride back to the airport is always our worst experience at Disney! I have to start planning another trip right away just to cope! :rotfl:

The mini monorail back to the gate and then seeing our plane. And "VS016 is now boarding!"

Line cutters...and I am not referring to the family with little ones who suddenly need to go "potty" type situation! While I try to keep my cool, this BURNSSSSS me up!

Ok, I have a second thing;

Every year we meet our good friends from Michigan at Disney. The worst part is when we have to say good-bye:sad: Lots of tears!

For me, the time between the last day and the day that I officially book my next trip. While I don't let it get me down, I really like to have a trip booked. I feel great knowing that I will be back again, even if it is a year out.

Ditto to this!! I'll even start planning before we leave!!

Yep, this one. That was the biggest smack of reality for me too. Once that envelope arrives the bubble has burst.

Me too :/ that envelope the night before and morning of (ME and resort airline check in ) luckily we are booking BB the next couple times...it helps ease the pain!!

Kind of a tie for me:

- Most of my trips are offsite and I typically go to Epcot on getaway day, then drive to the airport from there, simply because I find it the easiest park to get to the car without transportation (trams, monorails, etc.). That last walk out of Epcot is torture. Vacation ends when I walk under the ball and head to the car. I try not to look back.

- This one's been mentioned. Walking thru MCO, watching the happy arrivals coming in, knowing you're on your way out. (Of course, the reverse of this is an early highlight of the trip)

Packing to leave. I looooooooove packing for my Disney trip. I have this uber-organized, neatly put together suitcase carefully put together to maximize efficiency and wardrobe options. . .and for the trip home, I'm literally stuffing wads of clothes and Disney bags and the occasional half-filled water bottle any which way into the poor overstuffed suitcase, sometimes sitting on top of the ever-expanding mountain of "magical" theme park clothes and purchases to get the zipper closed.

I hate having to walk down Main Street USA and out in the world again! My last trip to Disneyland park CA Was amazing, but having to walk out those front gates and go back to reality...... :sad2::sad1:

Also boarding the plane to tell you that you're going home, and closing the hotel door for the last time :(

The magical express ride back to the airport

This is mine too, actually this is my whole family's (even DH). It never fails, my DD12 cries from the time that ME picks us up at the resort all the way to MCO. Nothing we say or do helps her. Talking about our next vacation helps a little, but she is still really bummed. I can't blame her though because I feel the same way.

Wondering in my head if this was my last trip to Disney because I will soon be priced out. Hoping that it isn't!

In process of planning our first trip in 5 years and some of the prices I'm seeing may have me priced out already!!
