Yay for new TR updates!

I wanted to be sure to tell you to check out the Springtime Roundup (if it is still open) when you head to DLR soon. It wasn't crowded when I was there, but it has some really cute Spring-y touches and details, pretty flowers, etc. Even though Easter is over, I wonder if the CMs kept some of the (fake) decorated eggs out for viewing. There were egg artists painting eggs and a lot of the finished masterpieces were put in a case with chicken wire on the doors. Look for the case with the chicken wire and hopefully they still have the adorable character egg art on display.
I love the look of your room/Villa. I have stayed at the GCH in the regular rooms -- which I found to be cramped and on the dark-ish side, but the Villas look so much more promising!
By the way, the first sightings of hotel decorations last year were reported 9 days before Thanksgiving! Santa still didn't appear at the hotels until Thanksgiving and beyond, but the trees were at least up more than a week ahead of schedule. So you never know what could happen this year. I am hoping that the planning masterminds at DLR realize that the hotels should be decorated at the same time the parks are decorated -- when the season officially begins. When I saw that the GCH tree had slightly different lights and ornaments, the DLH had a giant faux gingerbread castle in the lobby (with a piped in gingerbread smell), and the PPH had all sorts of new ocean-themed ornaments and accessories around it, I thought, "Hmmm...well it seems silly to get all these new decorations and knick knacks for the hotels if they are not going to be decorated until Thanksgiving."
So my hunch is that DLR is now going to try to make an effort to get the hotels in the spirit a bit earlier than usual from now on. I suspect that is why they got some new things to put on the trees and around the hotels last year. Maybe you will be in luck in November!
Anyway, you and Matt are peeps after my own heart when it comes to Plaza Inn. I ate there in December, and what did I get? That's right. The big plate o' chicken (except for that I swapped out the beans for another serving of potatoes) and the Yule Log!
I wasn't that thrilled with the Yule Log -- it was too rich, too decadent and too much chocolate -- and mine did not have any citrusy notes in it, nor did it have orange sprinkles on it -- but it was...Yule-ish, and that's what counted! Mine had red and green sprinkles and a chocolate Ganache filling, if I recall. It looks like you might have had the more autumn-inspired log, and mine was the more winter/holiday log? Maybe they don't bring out the holiday log until December, I wonder.
I love the pajamas you got -- so cute!
I also like the photo you took of DTD as you were approaching World of Disney at night, because it reminds me of that walk from the parks to the hotels -- which I love, especially at night, and especially during the holiday season!
