Thanks to everyone who has even dared to read this. I know it's not fun, but I really appreciate all the support!!

We had the van diagnosed this morning and the entire transmission needs to be rebuilt. That's gonna be about $2500 , and won't be done till Friday.

Dh just took the Explorer to pick up the Camry we are borrowing from our friends. I hope hope hope everything will fit. Then we just have to play the waiting game (until around 2 or 3 pm) to leave Phoenix so we miss rush hour in both cities.

The kids are still excited to go, but I'm not nearly as excited about this trip as I should be. It would be wonderful if we got some Disney magic at the parks. Here's hoping Tink is ready with her dust.

I'm sure I'll post from the HoJo once we make it there safely.

BTW, Hound, where's my limo and concierge treatmment?

YAY! We're here! I can't believe we made it, and had a wonderful driving experience with NO traffic. Even the 60/91 interchange was seamless! Just perfect!

Can I just say that I am in love with the Queen Suite at the HoJo. Oh my, there is just soooo much room. I will post photos when I get back, but I feel like we've already won a dream prize with this room.

We got here just in time to see the fireworks from the courtyard. My kids are in heaven.

The parking lot looks virtually empty, so I am hoping that's a sign of what we will find at the parks tomorrow.

Thanks again everyone for your encouragement and support through my horrible last two days. I am so thankful and blessed that all the events with the vehicle and illness happened before the trip. We're all feeling great and ready to attack the parks tomorrow!

Stacilee, I still have the hopper, but am currently PMing with another Disser about it. I'll let you know if that doesn't pan out and you will have next stab at it, ok?

We just came back from the dreaded 60/91 interchange on Saturday. My folks live about 5 miles from it in Riverside. We left Saturday morning at 6AM and thus there was no traffic. Not sure where you live in AZ but we came back across I-40 and thru the Grand Canyon on the way back to beautiful Colorado. Sounds like we missed you by a few days.

I have an idea for you. Hide out in DL at closing and in the middle of the night you and DH hijack a couple shiny new cars from Autopia. Right up Main Street and out the handicap entrance at the gates. Voila! No need to get the van fixed. Save the $2500. Let us know if it worked.

Well, we're off to the parks! My kids were up at 5:30 this morning. A bit excited, I guess. . .

I can't believe the weather. I checked it daily for a week and it was predicted between 65 and 75. Now they're saying 78 today with high winds. Pffft! The kids are mad I didn't pack their shorts.

Looks like fireworks may be canceled tonight. At least we have two more days to catch them.

Well, we better get our hineys to rope drop. Peter Pan first . . . Peter Pan ALWAYS first! Off we goooooooo! Off to Neverland.

Woo Hoo for Dangermouse. I am so glad that you made it. My neice and her boyfriend were at Disneyland yesterday and said it was pretty empty. Very few long lines - so I am sure you're having a great time today!

Because of the 'problems' you had before you left, this trip may be 'extra magical' for you. Sometimes when things go too smoothly it just not as special.

Looks like you don't need the Limo (since you've already checked in to the Grand Cal-Hojo-ian Hotel.

Regarding Concierge......there's a fine little bistro on your way to the park.....all sorts of McTreats can be picked up morning/noon/& night.

Or we can send you a box of slim jims & a 6 pack of yoo hoos.
