LegoMom3 - you are brilliant! And very creative. I am going to have to save that. I get exactly the same nervousness! I especially love the "except when you don't/because sometimes you won't" parts. Because no matter how much DISing we do and how much pixie dust we have some stuff will go wrong - or less than well - and it's better to expect that and not get caught up in it. I have been known to dwell...

This is where you take a deep breath and try to relax. You don't want to over plan yourself out of a GREAT TRIP. You've done a GREAT JOB and you are ready!! And besides in the words of Moms...tell the little voice to get her own trip!!

Stopping in to check out your PTR and say "Hey!" Don't worry about things going wrong. Because rarely does anything really go "wrong" at Disney. It may not go as planned, but it's still all good. Sometimes the things you don't plan for are the best parts of the trip!

THAT'S EXACTLY IT!!!!! You plan for sooo long and think you always "have time for that." Then, suddenly and without warning - BAM! - it's almost upon you and you start running around in circles like you just thought of this whole idea, and *poof!* there goes all your months of carefully calculated planning!!

It's the voice that starts to make you wonder, that despite the months and months of planning, and the going-over of details with a fine-toothed comb, that somehow, you're forgetting something.

Like all those really cool tips that you learn here on the DIS? And you read one and think "Oh, cool!....great idea!" and you should write it down but you don't right then, figuring you have plenty of time.

But then suddenly you don't....

And you're sure that you won't....

Three weeks from right now, I'll be lounging by the pool on Ol' Man Island at Port Orleans Riverside....

Three weeks from right now!!

I'm trying to enjoy the anticipation of these last three weeks. Of course I'm excited about the trip getting here, but there's just nothin' quite like the build-up of excitement after all the planning and waiting.

I've been going through my PassPorter and making sure I have everything we will want/need on the Master Packing List. (hey Lal!....a list! ). I've brought the suitcases down from storage and dusted them off. I'm listing out (listing!!) what we'll be packing to see if I can indeed get it all in two suitcases (not including the carry-on).

Planning to do laundry half-way through the trip is really helping that cause, by the way...

Today I packed a mini-M&M's tube with quarters and shiny pennies for pressed penny machines!

Also today, DS11 and I sat on the deck and talked all about the different park fireworks and parades, and how he wants to see all of them this time. We talked about how many countries are in World Showcase at Epcot, and how he also wants to really see all of those.

And just now, DS6 brought out the measuring board and had me make a new mark. 44-1/2 inches in sock feet!! Expedition Everest, here we come!

Over the weekend, I made two more t-shirts. One for DH and one for myself. Now, I know I was going to make one with that little hamster and the "Happiest Nom Ever" for Free Dining on it, but I decided against it. A) It won't make much sense outside of the World after the fact, and B) I didn't feel like explaining the term "nom" to all the non-icanhascheezburger folk who would inevitably see the shirt and wonder.

Not that they'd ask, but they'd wonder...

I did make DH the Mater shirt he wanted! Here is a pic of my shirt, and his from the front:

Mine is an Animal Kingdom motif. The "mom" is zebra stripes, and Mickey and Minnie are dressed in safari garb. It's cute.

Dash 1 and Dash 2 both have Hawaiian-type shirts that they want to pack for the trip. They never wear them around here, but they'll wear them at Disney World and they'll wear them together on the same day! Too cute.

I plan to make a count-down calendar on a posterboard tonight.

After all, when you're uber-psyched for an upcoming trip to Disney, what better way to put that in overdrive than by plastering the remaining days front-and-center to be "X"ed out each morning?!!

Lego I love your shirts! I think planning on doing laundry is a very good idea. I usually overpack thinking if I run out then i could do laundry. I also have never heard of using the mnm mini tube for change. That is a fabulous idea!!
