Oh my! So much fun! My husband was so hesitant to go but after much nagging he agreed. We just returned last night. My girls are 4 & 6 and had an absolute blast…and so did we!

We splurged for the Grand Californian and while expensive, I think it was worth every single penny. The rooms were beautiful and well appointed. Wildly comfy beds, plenty of room and I truly cannot say enough about the convenience of this location. After the World of Color show we were back in our room within five minutes. The place was insanely clean and the customer service was top-notch.

The highlights for my girls were meeting Jessie from Toy Story, meeting Rapunzel and the Princess Breakfast. Favorite ride for our entire family was Soarin' over CA. SO FUN!

I do not think we were the most efficient Disney-goers as we backtracked a bit, probably went between the parks too much and there are a few things I would do differently but thanks to this board we managed to accomplish everything we set out to do. The tips, tricks, hints and explanations you all provided were so helpful. I hope to be able to contribute a bit now that I have first-hand experience.

Thanks again! It was magical!

That's awesome! Glad to hear you had a good time. You do know that once is never enough? LOL

Glad you had a fun time! My DD8 and I love Soarin too. Doesn't it just make you so relaxed and happy while on it? DL is the best!!!

I am glad you had such a great time!:goodvibes What was your room like (view) at the Grand Californian?

Hopefully you can go again sometime soon! And I agree--Soarin' is the best ride ever.

:thumbsup2

As I like to say, The fun should keep going because now it's time to start planning the next visit.

thanks again - just so much fun!

we had a courtyard view - the one kind of directly off of downtown disney. it was just fine with us. considering we paid the absolute lowest price to stay at the grand californian and were told that our room would face an alleyway we were happy that we got to see a little something.

we will go again...probably not for a couple of years but we will go again. it will be fun to go when the girls are a bit older and not so timid so we can try out a few more of the thrill rides!

Awesome. Your kids are such a great age for Dis. I agree that the Grand is a great splurge. It really soaks you in to the Dis spirit. :cool1:
