Aerosmith is apparently performing for the pre-show for the Superbowl, so they're here in town. Today they were doing something at JSC (I think getting to talk to the people on the Station). They added a brief "hi there" stop outside one of the buildings at JSC and my mom, DH and I were able to go! :bounce: The best friends who live down the street from us also were there -- they both work at JSC as well.

Aerosmith didn't really do anything more than come out and wave, smile, and crack a few funny jokes, but it was still pretty cool. :D Steven Tyler sounds really nice, and had some funny lines.

We got some pictures, but I think every one of them is blurry enough that you can't really tell. I'll see when I get home. We couldn't find our telephoto lens, so had to use the digital zoom. We were close enough to see them clearly and closer than *we* would ever get at a concert (wouldn't pay that much for "front row" seats).

That's very cool, I'll have to tell DH when he gets home. He'll think that was something as well.

Very cool- my husband is a huge Aerosmith fan and because of him I've become a pretty big fan myself. That's awesome that you got to see them that close! Hope your pictures came out.

That is so cool!!!! I am a huge Aerosmith fan, and I am sooooo JEALOUS!!!!!

I heard that NASA TV pre-empted Mars coverage to cover Aerosmith's visit.

The airing of today's Mars rover news conference is being delayed on NASA TV to show the band Aerosmith touring International Space Station Mission Control at Houston's Johnson Space Center. The band is in town for Sunday's Super Bowl performance.

I was at WDW when Aerosmith officially christened the Rock N Roller Coaster. But we decided not to fight the crowds. Too bad. I really like Aerosmith. I'm glad that you enjoyed their visit.

way cool for you rajah!!!

i love aerosmith, have seen them about 11 times in concert. i had gotten as close as the 4th row, with my long-time fan club benefits (the only 42 year old woman on earth with fan club membership, i'm sure, lol), but was able to nudge my way right up to the stage last year! steven tyler makes me melt and i'm sure he's just too cool!

ok, back to being an adult...*sigh*

Aerosmith is my favorite band. And guess what monalsw? I've got you beat! I'm 51 and in the fanclub. Guess you can figure out where my screen name comes from. I'm aeromagic over on the AF1 boards. The "magic" part is for the Disney Magic. Two of my favorite things combined. OK, more info than anyone needed. I just get really excited about anything Aerosmith related!

Several of the band members live pretty close to where I am. I've never seen them just out and about but my son has.

Even though I'm 50+ they remain one of my favorite groups. Hey, come to think of it, Steven Tyler is older than me! :p

Another Aerosmith fan here!

Steven Tyler's summer house on Lake Sunapee is right around the bend from my family's place there. I think I am the only one in the family who hasn't spotted him around town yet! ARGH!!!

That is so cool that you saw those guys. They are definitely an American success story. To come from the lowest pits back to highest peak like theyve done. I saw them in early 80s when Joe Perry was out on his own. In those days Steve Tyler couldnt remember the words to the songs, yet we saw them again after there comeback from drugs and it was a totally different band. Its good to see them high on life these days. They could serve as an inspiration to those battling drug problems these days.

I love to ride along with them on RnR with the music pumping!!

That's really cool. DH and I are big Aerosmith fans. :D

If you didn't see the 5:00 news on Channel 11 earlier, they showed some of the Aerosmith pictures taken at JSC. It was funny to see them dressed up as astronauts.

I wish we lived closer to Reliant so we could take part in all of the festivities. A few of my students are singing in the pre-game show.
