That tears in the eyes moment

When we took my 5yr old DD to Disneyland for the first time and Princess Jasmine asked her if we had flown on a magic carpet all the way from Australia. DD's eyes widened and she started giggling " no way, we wouldn't all fit!" Just magic :rotfl:

:lmao: Thats so cute!

On our son's 1st trip to DL this past Christmas I stopped to read the sign over the left tunnel and smiled. Since Colton has just started learning to read he was standing next to me looking at the sign too and asked me what it said, I crouched down next to him and read it to him. Something about reading it out loud (I don't think I have ever done this before) really choked me up and the first of many happy tears welled up in my eyes.

Ah, someone performed a little CPR on this thread. ;)

My teary moments:
Always during the singing of God Bless America at the Flag Retreat Ceremony.

When I walk through the castle and hear When You Wish Upon a Star. The song is always a tear-jerker for me because it is the essence of Walt Disney's dreams and because the song is a constant thread in my life. I've visited the Disney parks regularly since I was a small girl and it serves as a reminder of times spent with family, friends, with those who are new and those (now) long departed. Time has lent a bittersweet edge to the melody.

Riding the POTC or Peter Pan and some complete jerk, sitting right behind me, uses their DSLR and pro-grade flash throughout the ride. Really, it's like giving an ape a hammer. They'll pound mindlessly at everything in sight but unfortunately they can't recognize a good shot from a bag of jellybeans. Someone, please, take their cameras away from them before they get hurt. :rolleyes1

We are heading there with DS5, DS6 & DS9 for their 1st trip. Oh to see Disney through a child's eyes! (Just reading this thread is making me misty). I am just wondering how I am not going to blubber my way through it all like an idiot! I pretty much better accept it and pack the tissues now. :o

My tears in the eyes moment came on friday night. just as we were sitting down for fireworks. matt tells me that he is falling for me. my heart stopped.. and i had a tiny tear..

Girl that tear was from allergies..... :rotfl::hippie:

our trip in 2003 at Napa Rose for our 20th wedding anniversary dinner.

The waiter/cm paid a lot of attention to our family and their likes/dislikes. He made a very special even more special.

Our kids still remember that night as well as my DH and I.

What is it about that fake "snow" -- it gets me every time and I see it mentioned quite a few times in this thread.

The other one for me is the Golden Dreams song at the end of Mr. Lincoln. I have no idea why - I'm not a big flag-waver, but there's something about that song.

My brother-in-law did his first ever Disney anything trip in 2008 and fell in love with DCA. Well, DH, DD and I went back in 2009 and when we stepped into DCA and heard the music playing I started to cry remembering his excitement and joy from the year before. I really wished DSIS and DBR-in-Law could have been with us. I was never so glad for the invention of sunglasses as I was at that moment!!:rotfl:

When someone twice my size ends up standing upon my foot! And does not move!
