Hey there,

I was just wondering what was your ''tears in the eyes'' moment when you visit Disneyland.

I remember my first moment. It was in 2009 when I first visit Disneyland. That moment happened when I saw Dumbo flying over the Castle!

This year, it was during the last portion of World of Color. I was so happy to see it in its firts month!

Now, what is your moment?

It would have to be and everytime too, the flag retreat and when they honor the miliataries…

Oh...I totally remember my moment. It was the first time we brought our daughter there for the first time (she was 4.) Walking through the gates and seeing her eyes get really big and full of surprise and wonderment is a memory I will truly cherish. Seeing Disneyland through the eyes of my child, brought me back to my own childhood. Now, when we visit during the holidays, when it "snows", that brings tears to my eyes every time.

I remember tearing up during the Electrical Parade so many years ago. With the music and all the lights, it was hard not to! It's a shame that they took that parade away.

On Monday. It was my daughter's 6th birthday and she wanted to meet Ariel soooo badly! We waited at PFF and low and behold, she was the first princess. She talked to my daughter for a while and danced with her. :lovestruc I felt so silly that I teared up, but yeah... I did. :upsidedow

The moment that stands out was on our first trip with the kids, when our four year old ds saw his first character in the park (which happened to be pooh). I have the best picture of his reaction and will always treasure that moment. Happiness just radiated off his face. It was a magical trip all around. Nothing can beat seeing the park through your children's eyes. :goodvibes:goodvibes

Last summer during mine and my 9 yr old son's first ever visits to the land. We were watching Fantasmic in the handicap viewing area with our family members, and when the boat came through all lit up with all the charachters on it - I was so happy to be there with my son that I got all teary over it...

first time seeing "remember dreams come true fireworks" and when the characters are saying there wishes and peter pan says "Wish we'd never have to grow up, off to neverland!"

and then the christmas:santa: fireworks and when it snows and they are playing "i'm dreaming of a white xmas" i dont know who the singer is but man the way she sings it is angel like:bride:

It was maybe 15 years ago, my mom, sister and I were on the shuttle and we just pulled into Disneyland for the first time, I was so excited and my tears started flowing. My mom is no longer with us and I so wish I could experience that with her again.

When I check out of the hotel and get the bill for everything I charged to the room! :sad1:

When I first saw this my son was leaning against me after enjoying "our" first day or DL and couldn't help gettting a little misty.

My daughter's first visit was on 8-22 of this year. We went as soon as we dumped the luggage in the room! Lo an behold...we walked straight in on a parade and she sat on her uncle's shoulders the whole time with her mouth wide open with amazement.

She even got to shake hands with Woody and Tigger---all within 10 minutes of entering the gates! :yay: Yep. I cried. She was so happy and so was I!

ohh ..that is precious. that did bring a tear to my eyes just now..im sorry for your loss...:flower3:

I think I might have a moment(or loose it!) when I see WOC with my BF .. it will be his first time. And well its such a great show..but the fact that we are sharing our love of Disneyland together gets me all choked up.

OMG i totally forgot about world of color!!

yeah the "part of your world" and "colors of the wind" part made me tear up just because it was so beautiful and those songs mean alot to me.

On our last day, we stopped up on the train platform at the end of Main Street to get one last look and soak it all up. It had just been such a wonderful, magical trip. I was half crying in sadness for having to leave, half in happiness for having been there at all.

Now this next trip is at Christmastime, so i'm fully expecting to have a few moments. I KNOW I will cry during the snowfall on Main Street, at the very least.
