While I know I've made an "unofficial" list of things to get done prior to this trip happening in 2 months, 2 weeks and 5 days (Woohoo!), I thought it would be smart to make and "OFFICIAL" list. Because time seems to be escaping me, as is always the case the closer the trip gets.
Thankfully, all of the big ticket stuff (sans booking our return flight - I KNOW!) is done and done. So I don't have any of that to worry about. The only small wrench that has been thrown in the plans is to figure out what to do on our Pleasure Island night. Since Disney has decided it's simply a FANTABULOUS idea to remove all nightlife from the World with the exception of the Boardwalk's offerings. "And," squawk Disney execs, "what would be the *perfect* things with which to replace said closed establishments?!?! MORE shopping and dining!" ::lovingly pats extra fat money clip::
No. I'm not bitter.
It's not like I'm in love with PI or anything. I'm not. Really I was just looking forward to a night out on the Island with Missy. A night that would rival the one Bekka and I had, tipsy with our rum-filled PI cups, bustin' a move to Ludacris in the BET club and then sashaying on over to whatever club those Irish guys were in that wouldn't leave us be.
Not bitter.
A little sad.
Kind of hungry (though I'm guessing that has nothing to do with PI shutting down).
ANYWAY.
Back to the list.
As life so often gets overwhelming, I do well with lists. And so, a Disney Trip To-Do list (which I shall dedicate to LL and her new hubby as a wedding present):
1. Book the return flight home - I have my reasons for stalling on this. I'm
really kind of hoping for a better rate flying into Providence instead of Hartford. I'm not really sold on the inconvenience for the lower price. But I'm only going to wait a couple more days and then I'll book. I promise.
2. Sign and return the confirmation form to Happy Limo.
3. Cash in the change that I've been saving and turn into a Disney gift card for use on appetizers, drinks and souvenirs. I also still have the GC that was sent to me when I signed up for my Disney VISA.
4.Purchase one additional pair of Croc flippies - I'm all sorts of quandrified about this one. See, Tink has decided that since luggage space is limited, that she simply cannot bring 7+ pairs of shoes.

Wha? Where am I? Can't bring 7+ pairs of shoes?
Ahem. So, I'm only going to bring two pairs of
Crocs, my Puma sneakers (they're smaller, suitcase-squishable and cooler) and one pair of "cute" sandals (read: I likely wouldn't be able to wear them for more than a couple hours). However, I don't know if I want a pair of the canvas Capri style or the Crete style, seen here and here (though only the first one is a color I'm considering). I know they look the same but the second one actually isn't canvas. It's either a leather-type or nylon-type material. I don't remember. I just remember being an 8 in one and a 9 in the other, which I thought was a wee bit odd (Speaking of wee - where's 2SP? Is this her holiday week?):
(If only there were some long lost budget-savvy relative of mine who could tutor me in the ways of discount codes for shoebuy.com.....)
5. Determine which bag I will be using as a carry-on and if no such bag is located or deemed "worthy" of carry-on status, purchase new carry-on bag. I have a very cute VS bag that I'd like to use, but I have to make sure it's not too big. Said bag needs to be able to hold my laptop, books, a magazine or three, snackies and my iPod. Oh, and have a little extra room for souvies too precious to be checked in my luggage on the way home...::coughcoughcoughJackSparrowcoughsnifflecough:: AND meet the SW carry-on size requirements.
6. Lose 10 lbs. ::sigh::
7. Get the trip binder decorumacated and all put together. It has its pretty new cover but is still lacking its innards. Hmm. Maybe a good project for this weekend.
8. Decorate my trip journal. I will be carrying a tiny lil' Moleskin notebook with me in my wristlet. They are the perfect size to jot down quick notes in and still fit in my rather fashionable bag:
As one can see here, it truly is small-ish. I use one to track my daily WW points.
9. Figuring out the whole costume issue. I really hoped to be on top of this one but it seems like, well...I'm not. We're not. And we might be costume-less. Which I'm semi-OK with. I will at least have made shirts for us to wear.
10.
...wait, back to 9...
We won't ONLY be wearing shirts. That I've made. For us to wear. We will also be wearing shorts. And some shoes. Because I like Disney and have no intentions of being tossed for indecent exposure.
We were saving that for the PI night.
Kidding.
Mostly.
::ahem::
10. Call and request the Tokelau building at the Poly.
11. Make above-mentioned shirts.
12. Confirm airport transportation from home - this one is partially waiting on booking the return flight. If we can get into Providence for less than the cost of a small mobile home, BF will probably pick us up. If we fly into Hartford it will be a non-issue as we'll be driving ourselves home. I'd also like BF to take us to the airport on the Saturday morning that we leave, but he works Saturdays and so this likely won't happen. So I need to call mommy. Or daddy. Or my dear, sweet brother who so totally owes me for the time that I didn't tell my parents he put the hole in the wall by skateboarding in his room. ::cough::
13. Put together gift bags for Missy and, um, for other people. MOOVING ON...
My brain has now gone blank. So that either means that:
a.) I've listed everything that needed a'listin' or
b.) It's around 2 p.m. when I normally hit my afternoon slump.
2:40 p.m.
Wouldja look at that.
Harumph.
I'm hoping I can get a good chunk of this accomplished in the next few days considering I have a 5-day weekend ahead of me beginning on Thursday. And two whole days of that to myself. I really have no excuses not to get a good bit done.
Except.
You haven't seen my "Clean the House" list.
Which puts the list above to shame.
::sigh::
Where's my Fairy Godmother?
