That Pirate Stole My Tiara: The Pre-Trip Report

Glad to hear you liked the 70s building. I've actually read on some other threads that it can be a quieter area if you're lakeside. I love the Pop, but when I want to sleep...look out!!!! :scared1:

I think I'm working up the nerve for my own pre-trippie...is it a fear of commitment that's stopping me...or fear of picking a cool title!?!?!?:rotfl2:

It's funny, here in New England we wait SO long for some semblance of summer to arrive, don't we?....and then something like a Disney vacation in September can make you wish it away, just like that!

Totally agree! In regard to New England weather didn't Mark Twain say something to the effect of if you don't like the weather, wait a minute? I know how you feel! :)

I see you lurkers out there! :magnify:

Seriously! Come and join the party! Say hello! Drop me a line! I don't bite.

Alright, I did it!

I got brave...

I got inspired...

I bit the bullet...

I'm writing a pre-trippie...

Join me, if you dare. ;)

Before or after Gerard Butler after 2Scottish Princesses sends him my way? ;)

Actually, at this point, I would settle for your dream day of getting free dining AND staying at the Poly! I am just so happy for you!

But if I can't have that, I would settle for Batman one day and Gerard Butler on another. Don't want to OD on hotness! :lmao:

:rotfl: This is some of the best writing on the DIS!! I'm not done yet but looking forward to catching up and looking forward to more!

Wow! Thanks and welcome! I don't know if it's some of the best writing on the DIS. I'm not sure if I can hold (or should hold) a candle (too close) to ZZUB's legendary wallet battles, but I definitely appreciate the compliment and encouragement.

The older I get the more I'm trying to break the habit of wishing the time away, considering we never really know how much we're going to get but....now that you mention it....is it August yet?

And it's going to be in the 60's Wednesday and Thursday this week in MA!!! Break out the bikinis!

Where abouts in New England are you?

I was facing a service road/back side of one of the preferred buildings and not the courtyard and I have to say it was very quiet. I think being higher up and completely wasted after a day of solo commando touring helped too.

I'm not sure if Mr. Twain graced us with that doozie but you can hear any given Bostonian say that 12 months out of the year. Gets a little trying on the ear after a while...makes me want to move South...towards Orlando.

I'm writing a pre-trippie...

Join me, if you dare. ;)

Alright!!! I'll take that challenge. See you over there in two shakes of a lamb's tail. (Another saying I'd love to get to the bottom of.)

OD'ing on the hotness? Is there really such a thing? If so, I would have to say it would be my drug of choice!

Now, I'm REALLY behind on your pre-trippie with a trippie within and simply MUST go catch up.

:flower3:

OD'ing on the hotness? How did I miss that????? popcorn::

You know what it reminds me of?

Old and busted...

New hotness...

Old and busted...

New hotness...

gonna be old busted hotness... ;)

Well, I would think it is akin to ODing on Disney World -- rare, to be sure! But I don't want to take any chances! :lmao:

I have Polynesian pics and Tonga Toast pics...:rolleyes1

I'm so happy for you that you got the Poly! Your going to just love it. I haven't been there since I was a kid, and still keep wishing I could afford to stay there.

That's great about the dining too!

Hey, great report so far!!! I can't wait for the rest!:goodvibes

Am I clear, Mr. Bender?
Crystal.
(That's for you, JKMJ.)
:flower3:

Thanks for the toss back. Although, I have to admit that I just don't get it.:confused3 I even "googled" it. It came back with Futurama, a show that I have never seen. Is that it???
Funny story about tossback - (I'm playing it fast and loose with the word "funny") When I was a wee lass and my sister was an even weeer lass, she asked me one day what a tossback was. I told her I had no idea, that it wasn't even a word and went on and on about how dumb she was. Finally, I asked her where she heard it and she said "you know on Scrabble, when the guy says 'who won the toss backstage?'":rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I've never seen this. I've never even heard of it. But then again, you're talking to the girl who still hasn't seen Gone With The Wind

Now, you've just hurt my feelings. GWTW is the best piece of fiction ever written and the best piece of cinematography ever produced, y'all.

I haven't gotten caught up yet. Dang boss is making me work.

You've seen GWTW but don't know the Breakfast Club? Movie filled with 80s teenage angst? Brat Pack? If it doesn't ring any bells, you must rent it. Must, must, must. Then you'll get the Bender reference. :thumbsup2

I totally get it now. I am hanging my head in complete and utter shame. I may never be able to post here again. Oh the humiliation. I have been captured in a web of my own making.

The only thing I was coming up with was when Colonal Jessop on the witness stand in A Few Good Men; and TomKat saying "crystal."

I want in on this one! Okay, I'm not yet caught-up, but you pretty well had me with this:

ME:Gosh, I really miss Disney.
BF: What shows do we have saved on the DVR?
ME: I think I’d like to go back. This year.
BF: Did it tape a new episode of Robot Chicken last night?
ME: Like in September, or for my birthday, in October.
BF: Where’s the little laser? I want to play with the cats.
:lmao: That's good stuff, there. ::yes::

From one writer to another... I'm LOVING your TR! I'll be back...
