That Pirate Stole My Tiara: The Pre-Trip Report

Good morning.
Happy Friday.
For those of you in New England, happy 40 degrees!
Today, feels, well, special, no?
Like the night before a holiday.
A little extra magical, maybe?
Must be because it's Friday.
OR MAYBE BECAUSE AT THIS TIME TOMORROW I WILL BE PREPARING TO BOARD A PLANE TO WALT DISNEY WORLD!!!
But it could very well be the former.
So, here we are. The morning of Disney Eve. I've been up since 2 a.m. And I wish I could say it was due to Disney excitement but alas. It was due to "we need a new matress because I can't get comfortable and I'd better get up and go sleep on the couch because if I toss or turn one more time, BF might make it his personal mission to ensure I never make it to Disney."
Seeing as I've already been up for almost six hours and seeing also as I will be up until at least 10 p.m., at least I'll sleep well tonight.
My 'To Do' lists, are, well, needing to be done.
And long-ish.
And won't be posted here on the DIS because, frankly, I'm trying to pretend I have NOTHING to do.
Some things WERE crossed off the list last night. My suitcase is packed (all 32.7lbs of it, including one pair of dressy sandals that somehow found their way inside. Hmm...) and is zipped and locked and ready to go. And a tad front-heavy and tilty. But rolls nicely.
My carry-on backpack is packed less my phone charger, my laptop and my laptop accessories.
My outfit for tomorrow is laid out and ready to go.
There is only one thing that I am rather glaringly aware of that is missing. Particularly glaringly aware after I received this text from Missy last night:
"My pirate wench outfit is AWESOME."
::sigh::
I was not able to secure a proper pirate wench outfit prior to our trip. I just ran out of time and the task just didn't make it close enough to the top of the list of priorities. For shame.
So I brainstormed this morning and did some Fuzzy Disney Costume Math (FDCM). What do you get when you add:
1 pair of yellow flip flops
+
1 pair of red shorts
+
1 black tank top
+
1 pair of white gloves
+
1 set of newly purchased mouse ears?
MAKESHIFT MICKEY MOUSE!
Yes. I will be Makeshift Mickey for MNSSHP. I'd be Makeshift Minnie to be more gender-ly accurate except I don't have a polka-dot skirt. I may forego the white gloves for practicality reasons and the only piece I have to buy that wouldn't already be packed would be yellow flippies. If I can't find those, I'll just where my black Croc flippies and be...
MAKESHIFT BAREFOOT GLOVELESS MICKEY MOUSE!
Seriously dudes. This is all I've got.
And no, that wasn't your surprise.
I'm really drawing that one out.
Our plans are set for departure tomorrow:
5:30 a.m. Tink smothers kittehs with kisses and promises that Daddy won't forget to feed them while Mommy is away.
5:35 a.m. Tink smothers BF with kisses (and maybe a few tears) feeding him the correct lines to repeat back about how he will miss me more than George W misses his IQ whilst I am away. Commence HS-movie-theatre-type-date-makeout-session as long as BF has brushed his teef.
5:40 a.m. Tear myself away from BF.
5:41 a.m. Bat eyelashes. Ask BF to carry 32lb suitcase to car.
5:42 a.m. Avoid question, "HOW MANY PAIRS OF SHOES DID YOU PUT IN HERE???"
5:43 a.m. Kiss BF one more time and back out of driveway. Hit up D&D (NODungeons&Dragons) for caffeinated liquid sustenance.
6:00 a.m. Arrive at mom's and transfer suitcase to her car.
6:03 a.m. Fend of doggy kisses from where Cody is waiting to trample Missy in Mom's backseat.
6:15 a.m. Piggyback a zombie Missy to the car. Start latte IV.
6:45 a.m. Arrive at T.F. Green for 8:25 a.m. flight.
It's a plan, Stan.
Onto your FINAL piece of Disney trivia:
1 Day!!
In MGM studios, the Tower of Terror is exactly 199 feet high because if it was 200 feet or more, it would require a beacon to warn airplanes.
Ok.
So. That's it.

1. Two words: LIVE. REPORT.
I will have my laptop.
I will have FREE internet access (God and Mouse willing).
I won't let you miss me THAT much.
If all works out the way it should, you will see a daily update from me, perhaps with a "Picture of the Day". I will likely be starting my TR in a new thread and, if so, will post the link here.
Keep your eyes peeled.
(Which, if you think about it, is REALLY gross!)

Your makeshift Mickey costume will be fine. We've been to 3 MNSSHP's and there were all different kinds of costumes-from full out Donald and Daisy (so cute, but I bet they were burning up) to just t-shirts and a funky hat.
