Aging is universal. And there are laws about providing access to those who are "less physically able" than others. Subjective opinions about someone's physical ability is as relevant as someone else's opinion about a candidate's ears.

My wife has a physical disability and so I know all about provision of access and requirements for accommodation. Such provisions deliberatley do not apply to elected officials. Voters elect officials based on their subjective evaluation of the candidates' capability to do the job, including all relevant characteristics.

Most of the disclosures we impose on our political candidates would not be permissible in most regular employment scenarios: financial disclosures and medical disclosures most notably.

Has anyone considered the possibility that McCain simply forget Obama's name?

I knew someone that tried to hide the onset of alzheimer's by calling people he knew "dude" "Miss" and so forth. (and he was in his 60's)

If we went in for Oil, then why exactly did Oil prices double or so since that time? That was the line that was used by those opposed to the war when it started. It has proven to be as false as the WMD.

If it was about oil, we would have invaded Mexico. Its a lot closer to home and there is almost no one left their to repel our Army.

heck I am in my 30's and if I can't remember somebody's name I call them sweet pea, pumpkin or Fred I suppose all of those wouldn't really be an option for Sen. McCain. Though I would laugh if either of them called the other sweet pea.
