That Mickey sure is one smart cookie!! May 2011 CBR TR (update 08/13)

Caught up!! I am not sure if I am sad that I don't have a DD so I can experience all these things, or glad that I have a DS so I don't have to worry about the $$ involved :lmao: We just got a huge American Girl catalog delivered and I was so happy I didn't have to worry about him wanting on :cool1:

Still thinking about the Dec trip? We went Dec 17-23 last year, and the crowds weren't great, but it wasn't too bad. It got worse every day as it got closer to Christmas of course. As long as you go knowing it might be frigidly cold, and you won't get as much done, it's fine. You just have to make peace with it up front :rotfl:

Maya looks beautiful in her BBB pics!! I know DH is happy that we have a boy and don't have to do BBB. I don't tell him that I REALLY hope the next one is a girl, so we can do BBB!!

I LOVE BBB. Claire hates her hair brushed too, but suffers with out complaining at BBB because she loves the end result.

BBB is such a fun thing to do with little girls at Disney, I just wish it had been around when I was little!

it woudl have been a lot of fun! its a lot of fun to watch the excitement on the little girls faces. you can help but be happy for them.

How can you leave us in suspense??? Fun update! Can't wait to hear how Maya liked it!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

ha! didn't mean to- just ended up being one of those days i was running out of time.

Love the stickers on the James' head...he appears to be a ham like my grandson! Miss Maya is gonna break a LOT of hearts!...Poppa better keep that shotgun loaded with rocksalt, and close-at-hand! ;)

Good luck on the Christmas trip! We really enjoy it during the holidays and put up with the crowds because the parks are decorated so beautiful. We are gonna be secretly packing this weekend for our "quickie" trip next weekend...first MNSSHP...and so far, neither of us have spilled the beans! Only taking the youngest two, the 19 year old is off at college in KC and has commitments for her school. :guilty: Ah well...she'll be there for most of "the big trip" in December....(same time you are thinking of going). Neither of our older girls' kids are quite "old enough", (although I admit, Master James has begun to change my view on taking toddlers to WDW!

I've sure been enjoying your report....Thanks for sharing!

He is such a ham! i'm really enjoying how different he is from Maya.
Chris told me once he was going to follow Maya around on her dates... poor thing...

Your weekend will be so much fun! i'm quite jealous!

I think that James had a great time at WDW as a toddler- and he was free!
I had just as many issues with Maya at 4 or 5 as i did with James at 9 months or 27 months.

Thanks for hanging in there with the reading!

Great in progress BBB pics!

Thank you:lovestruc

Luv the BBB update!

thank you ! :goodvibes

I LOVE BBB. Claire hates her hair brushed too, but suffers with out complaining at BBB because she loves the end result.

You know, one of Claire's first photoshoots from a couple years ago was what sold me on BBB... she's such a pretty girl.

I hope your next one is a girl too! Both genders bring so many different experiences to the table.

There's always pirates league :lmao: I hate those american girl catalogs- i throw them away so quickly! I have a hard time spending money on anything without a discount, no matter the price.

I'm definitely thinking about the Christmas trip. The front dates are a bit cheaper for the flight now, but the back end still brings it up. If we don't do that one, its either May or Oct of next year. It might be nice to have days without sweating. I'm sure the kids would try to drag me in the pool though

Can't wait to see the big reveal! I remember my DD's first trip to BBB--it was so much fun! :goodvibes

She looks so cute. I think we are going to do BBB in June when we go back. I waited too long to think about it last time and could not get an appointment. My daughter will be 9 next trip, so when Disney Channel showed the 9 year-old girl getting the princess makeover I asked my daughter if she'd want to get something like that done (she doesn't know about BBB) and she said yes.

Going to call at the 180 day mark this time. Since she knows about the trip, I thought I'd have a surprise for her during the trip and this may be it. I want to schedule it around my son's naptime on our 2nd MK day and do BBB, then after the photoshoot do the Princess M&G and the Rapunzel line. Maybe by the time he wakes up the girly stuff should be over.

I am secretly trying to figure out how to fit in a December trip next year. I was thinking about one this year but decided to do this Sea World trip instead. I want to get it in at some point though. One thing about our next trip I will miss is all those lights. Plus if I do it in 2012, it will make the wait between our WDW trip and the DCL trip less painful. Only thing is I was planning on spending some time at WDW before and after the cruise. If I do Dec 2012, I will have to cut the WDW portion out of our 2013 trip, at least the post cruise portion. Decisions...decisions.

i think that sounds like a great surorise! and who knows, if your ds wakes up he may love seeing the princesses as much as James did. I sure didn't expect him to.
My ideal trip would start with MNSSHP at the beginning and then MVMCP a week or so later at the end. unfortunately, I'll have to either wait until the kids are out of school in a million years or homeschool one random year. I think the minimum for that schedule would mean she'd have to miss more school then i would like.

I can't wait to see the final reveal! I'm sure Maya will look beautiful. I love her Tiana dress. :goodvibes
