Ever get the feeling, when everything just falls into place... you know the feeling... it's kinda giddy... entirely satisfying? Yep... that one! That's how I feel now!

I posted this on the cruise forum as well, but I'm so excited... I just want to tell everybody!

For months now, we've been trying to plan the 'perfect' trip for our family. Back in February, we booked our family on our first Disney Cruise. We'll be going in April of 2011 on the Disney Dream We couldn't be more excited about it. Well... at least we didn't THINK we could be more excited about it.

I was out of work for awhile and I was beginning to believe that I'd never find a job... and when I did, there'd be no way they'd approve a vacation in such a short amount of time. Well... I kinda fell into the perfect job at the beginning of July and it's been working out VERY nicely for me. About 2 weeks ago, I had lunch with my boss, and I drove. He noticed all the Disney stuff in and on the van and asked about it... then asked when the next trip was. I tenatively told him that we had a trip planned in April, but I wasn't sure if we'd be able to go. He asked why and I told him that since I started in July, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to request the time off. At that point, he laughed and told me I was crazy if I DIDN'T go because of how important family time is. (Awesome, right?!)

So, we went into full vacation planning mode again. We knew that we were originally going to leave on Friday night, April 1st, after work... then spend a night at AKV Kidani and then drive to Port Canaveral... but with the request, I was approved to take off that Thursday and Friday, as well... so our plans changed a bit.

We wanted to stay at a DVC resort and we knew there was availability at AKV Kidani with a Savannah view for the nights we wanted, but we also wanted to make this a really memorable trip... so we decided to see if BLT with a MK View was available.

The start of the call, she said it was available for the 1st and 3rd nights of the trip... but not the 2nd night. So, I told her I'd call back a few days later when I spoke with my wife. In speaking with her, we decided to book the MK View for those nights, and a Lake View for the 2nd night. I called DVC Member Services back on Sunday morning and got a woman on the phone who told me the same thing I was told a few days earlier. No big deal, I said... let's just book those 2 nights in the MK View and the 2nd night in a Lake View... then we'll waitlist the MK View room.

We went through everything, and then she told me that she would set up the waitlist. Immediately after she said that... she said:

"Oh, ummm... hang on."

And then she put me on hold. Oh, no. That didn't sound too good. I held for about 3 minutes, and when she came back, she told me that she was able to get me the 2nd night in the 1BR MK View room as well! So, there it was... everything just fell into place for us! Our itinerary now looks like this:

Leaving Wednesday night, March 30th and driving straight through to Orlando.

Thursday, March 31st through Sunday, April 3rd - 1 Bedroom Magic Kingdom View at BLT
Sunday, April 3rd through Thursday, April 7th - Aboard the Disney Dream
Thursday, April 7th through Saturday, April 9th - 1 Bedroom Savannah View at AKV Kidani

I don't think we could have asked for things to come together any more perfectly! We're all REALLY excited now and the countdown is on!

I just wanted to share the story... and brag a little!
