I am going to go ahead and book Nachi too, it's a $25 fee if you cancel and I would also like to go horseback riding on Cozumel or Fury Catamaran so it's really hard to make a decision. Lots to do on Cozumel. I am a little worried that Nachi is more of an relaxation adult paradise and the kids will be bored. Thoughts?

This is the link I have, don't know if there is a different one.

Just found the facebook and asked permission to join.

Gotcha!

Hi. Thanks for organizing the new thread. This will be our first DCL cruise and we are very excited. It will be me Kelly, DH, DS (8) and DD (4). We are also traveling with friends. I would be interested in joining the FE.

You are in!

And the website is http://disneymagic033012.webs.com/index.htm

I was a little worried about Nachi being more of a relaxation paradise as well.
However, even though both of my kids are active they will both be just as happy playing in the sand and sitting at the waters edge, (and my ds will be very happy with the food) so I think we are going to book Nachi.

we were concerned also but there are water sports etc. My kids are beach kids and wanted this trip to include sand and surf time. I figure we can snorkle or rent something to head out on and (cross my fingers) hoping my kids will make friends and DH and I will not be the activity bags for them. ;)

http://www.cozumelnachicocom.net/ was the site I used - paid via paypal.

Welcome! I am glad to see another child the same age as my dd- we had a little bit of an issue getting her to go to the kids club on our Carnival cruise (I am sure it won't be the same on this cruise- it is Disney after all;)) so it will be nice to have someone else her age on board.
Have you cruised before? I see it is your first Disney cruise.

Morning all! I am having such fun making reservations (car, airfare, hotel etc). It makes it real. Counting down the days. Love having something so neat to look forward to. Hope everyone's week is going well!

I have cruised before, but it's been a LONG time ago (I was one of those wild and crazy college spring breakers on Carnival a handful of times). My DH has cruised more times than I have (and to way more exotic locations) but it's been even longer for him. I kind of feel like we are starting over ;-) VERY much looking forward to sharing this experience with our 2 little ones. We've taken them both to Disney world (2 times now) and honestly, our 2 year DS LOVES it almost more than our 5 year old! She's SUCH a girly girl princess though. I'm HOPING they will warm up to the kids clubs with little resistance, but only time will tell :confused3

Welcome -- I am sure your daughter will love it! My son was six for our first cruise and although it took him a couple of days to warm to the club. I couldnt' get him out at the end!! Now he is 17 and only wants to do Disney Cruises, even with the offer of ship that has a climbing wall, wave pool, and surfing!!

Funny you say this because my girlfriend just got back from a RCCL cruise and her two boys, 13 and 15 (I think!) said the same thing!!!! Disney just does a wonderful job of keeping them entertained so the kids (even teens and tweens) don't have to do it themselves. Oh, no wonder our kids are so lazy! :rotfl2:

What I love is the sense of security I get on the Disney ship. As long as Ally checks in with us every 30-45 minutes, we let her do her own thing! And she loves the feeling of independence too. So it's a win/win for everyone!

I think that is why my son loves Disney so much -- the sense of independence he gets! He is able to come and go as he pleases, stay up late, eat when he wants -- and he doesn't have me worrying or nagging him!:rotfl2: I love it for the Security of knowing he is confined to the ship and there really is not much opportunity for them to get into trouble! You are right about the kids being lazy -- they don't even have the energy to run up and down the halls anymore:thumbsup2

How is everyone doing????
I know there are a lot of us in Virginia- anyone have any damage from the earthquake?
We didn't have any damage, but I do wish the aftershocks would stop- I am getting tired of straightening all the pictures in my house.
We had one this morning around 1:00, registered 4.5.
The schools in Louisa County (close to the epicenter) had to shut down until September 6 due to damage at the high school.
Thankfully no one was seriously injured.

I felt it pretty good here in Greenville, SC! I called Jeff and said, "was that a hurricane?" And he told me to stop drinking during the day! :rotfl2: He hung up and was talking to people at work and they said, "I knew I felt something!" So he had to call back and admit I wasn't crazy!!!!

I'm shocked that there was not more damage considering how far reaching it was felt!!!! Glad you are okay, but it's got to be quite unnerving to keep feeling those aftershocks!

I hope everyone stays safe now from Irene!!!! Hoping Castaway Cay made it through okay, too!!!! :scared1:

We lived 30 miles from the coast in FL, so I've dealt with a couple, and now 3 hrs from coast in SC, so we've gotten TS conditions here, too, but we are going to get nothing from this one. Anyone else in the line????

I'm really worried this time about those in the northeast cause that area is not prepared for this. NC will have a lot of damage, but at least they are used to preparing for these.... Everyone stay safe and don't treat it as a joke!!!!

Yes we felt the earthquake pretty hard in Maryland. I was in work when the entire building shook (we always suspected the contractor was the low bidder) and I thought the glass in my office was going to shatter it was shaking so much!:scared1: Haven't felt any aftershocks, though and thankfully no damage. Just a few pictures knocked down at home -- but my collection of shot glasses is ok:rotfl2:. Last year when there was a small quae at night a few were broken. Since I get one where ever I travel, I was looking forward to what I would have to do to replace them! Thankfully no one was hurt:worship:

Now on to the hurricane. We are not close to the shore but will feel the effects! My dad who lives close to Ocean City, MD, did call last night to say he would be coming this weekend and staying until it was over! We were just in Kitty Hawk a few weeks ago and didn't reserve a house for next year as we were undecided on which one to rent -- now we will have to factor storm damage into our decision!

WHEW! We all need priorities, right? :rotfl2:

Glad your dad is smart enought not to try to ride it out..... drives me nuts to see people (including some on Okracoke which is in the direct path and only accessible by ferry!) stay and then put the rescuers' lives in jeopardy when they call to be saved!!! I say let em figure it out for themselves! A "mandatory" evacuation is just that...... :rolleyes1 Morons!
