I'm headed to WDW in 68 days for a "girls only" trip with my mom, my sister and my niece (flying on NWA). My son and I got back last week from a WONDERFUL Easter/Spring Break trip. After we had been home exactly one day, he asked if he could tag along on the girls only trip in June because he had so much fun on our "mom and me" trip (I AM a lot of fun, especially at my FAVORITE place in the whole world!!). I told him I would have to check some things out. He's taking drivers ed this summer (eeekkkk!) and we don't have his schedule yet. There's a chance that he would still be in class when we leave for the trip, so I was very hesitant to buy him a plane ticket. Feeling like a guilty mom (and both of us having Premium Annual Passes that expire 7/27/05), last night I began to play around with the Indy - Orlando DING! fares for July. Well, I'm sure you've guessed that I am now the proud owner of 2 roundtrip, non-stop tickets from Indy - Orlando at an incredible price of......drumroll please..... $82.11 each!!! I could not believe that price. We have to leave/return on a Wednesday (Monday or Tuesday were also available), but that's really not a problem. Ironically, we will fly home on the day our PAPs expire! Talk about using them down to the last minute. Before I booked the flights, I called SWA to ask about their cancellation/change policy. If I had to change/cancel our flights I would receive SWA credit for the entire price I paid (totally unheard of on other airlines ~ they always charge at least a $25 fee). The credit would be valid for one year AND it is transferrable (I have NEVER heard of any other airline allowing a credit to be transferred!). It's been a few years since we've flown SWA, but with DING! fares like that, I think they're going to be seeing a lot more of us!

YAY!! Same thing here...just got back a few weeks ago and when I saw the fares SW was offering I called some friends and we are doing a "girls only" weekend in June as well!! LOL We didn't do as good as you but we got $115 r/t which is pretty darn good! Two years ago I was SW's site and saw $88 r/t so dh,ds and myself went to WDW...surprise!!

Have a great trip!

Kim

I'm curious, how are you guys getting those prices?? I'm looking at flying out of ohio next spring (which airport depends on where I can get the cheap flight) and I havn't seen anything less than about 190.

I also used Ding for our flights and have total $115 per ticket from BWI, which is good, but the departure flight is higher so I'm hoping before August I can reduce that fare more and use the credit in December. If not I am very happy with the price because I have the exact flights I wanted.

it's on Southwest, via the DING! program. Note that Southwest is only taking ressies to Sept. 12!!

You have to install some software on your computer, and it pretty much requires DSL or cable modem, since you don't know when they send the messages.

the messages are sent out 2 or 3 times a day with the expiration time that the travel has to be booked by. (somewhere between 2 to 8 hours).

you click on the message and the city combo, with the dates they apply appears in an IE window.

I've gotten some 104.60rt and 125.60 (Chgo to MCO) fares.
Sure beats the 200+ that TED (united) and American want.

Fares are not available for all dates.

:cool1:

We have friends who are going from IND to MCO Aug. 8-14 and got the SWA "ding" fare of $82.11 r/t. Four people are flying for a total of $328.44 r/t. Gasoline would probably cost almost that if you drove.
