Thanks so much to those who recommended it! Much much better than chocolate chips and actually less expensive! Made a ton of chocolate covered pretzels today and they turned out awesome. Too bad they are gifts...they look so good!!

It is great, isn't it? I friend of mine suggested it to me a few weeks ago and dd7 and I have been making a batch every couple of days. It's great, and easy for dd to do also.

That's the beauty of it, theres no recipe!

I bought almond bark from Walmart. It's right next to the chocolate chips. It was sold in 2 pound blocks for $1.58. They have chocolate and white chocolate (vanilla). I melted mine in a double boiler - put a little water in a sauce pan and then placed a glass bowl on top. Simmer the water and just put in some chunks of the almond bark in the bowl. It melts PERFECTLY. Then I just dipped pretzels rods in, tap a few times and place on waxed paper. For the pretzels I just dropped them in and mixed it all up, then used a tongs to take the out. It can be a little messy, but it's a lot of fun and tastes great! I'll bet you could even throw it in a crock pot to melt it.

I've been using this stuff for years......choc. covered pretzels are my trademark at Christmas, ok try this.......ritz crackers , spread peanut butter onto cracker to make a sandwich, then dip the whole thing in the dark bark to cover, these are SO good!!!!!!!!

It is great stuff - so easy to use. I always just melt mine in the microwave.

My favorite thing to make w/ it is Peppermint Bark. Just stir some broken up candy canes or starlight mints into the melted bark (I use the white) and then spread it out to harden. Once it has hardened, break it into pieces

Love the stuff
stock up while they have it though
cuz when its gone IT'S GONE!

I buy some for the rest of the year too!

Me, too...makes it so easy when I do it in the microwave.

I like to use chopped pecans in the bark...both vanilla and chocolate.

Sometimes, I will melt the vanilla and then swirl in some chocolate after pouring the vanilla out to harden. Looks "fancy" but it's so easy.

I have done the dipped pretzels and, last year, dipped Ritz crackers...some with chocolate, some with vanilla, and some half and half. The salty/sweet contrast is very tasty.
