We are arriving at WDW on thanksgiving Day and staying for 9 days. We are going to Buy an annual pass. My question is does Disney black out discount s for that week even though it is value season. And My second question is would I still be able to get a discount for the full week after thanksgiving and just pay regular rates the first 3 days? Or will they try and hold me to highest rate based upon my arrival date? any Suggestions and tips?

We have arrived on Thanksgiving Day for the last two years. In 2002 there were no dates blacked out. In 2003 arrival on Thanksgiving Day was blacked out. So we booked back to back reservations. A reservation for one night at rack rate and the rest of our trip at the AP rate. I have always heard there is a possibilty that you might have to change rooms the next day when your new reservation starts, but I don't think I've ever read of someone actually having to do it. Also, you have to go down to the desk the next morning and re-register, but it was no big deal and certainly worth the savings.
