Going to Disney during thanksgiving week. Whats going on this week. Any thing special to see?

Leaving November 22 Coming back home the 30th

Last year, we went to MK during the evening on the Saturday before Thanksgiving...:scared1: I will never do that again! It was wall-to-wall people. We were crunched like little sardines packed into Main St., slowly moving as one unit towards the castle. I have never seen anything like it! I think if it were me...I would go on Monday...

We were there that night. I didn't think it was bad, we even got on SM. I know we don't have MK planned for Sat. night this year. I think Epcot, I'll have to go get the operational plan:laughing: , for Thanksgiving 2008 out of DH's bag.

We're heading down Friday!!

It was right around the (Spectromagic) parade time that we entered and then we were heading down to the end of Main St. to view the fireworks...so maybe it was just bad timing on our part! :goodvibes We were so crammed in there, I was worried about losing the kids! We leave on Saturday...have a great trip! :goodvibes

We got there before that. We find parade time a great time to get on rides, but we got trapped in Liberty Square by the parade ropes and decided we could get a pretty good spot to watch the parade, so we stayed.

I know what you mean by losing the kids, or in my part my dawdling DS12, who's always way behind DH and DS7. So it's up to me to make sure the eldest makes it to the exit with us. I think Epcot after Illuminations is the toughest, perhaps I need night vision goggles.

Back now to watching the weather to tweak my packing list. Thank goodness for lightweight long underwear(doesn't take up anyroom) and convertable pants.

Look for us, if it gets chilly we'll be the family of 4 in brightly colored Lands' End 1/2 zip fleece tops. :rotfl2:

Yes...even though mine are teenagers, I am still constantly checking to see if they are still with us. This time though, I am also having to make sure that we don't lose my parents. They are a little pokey and the little joke when we travel is "Make sure that you don't lose, Grandma" :rotfl2:
The weather report is driving me insane! It is right on the edge of jeans or shorts...so I am trying to figure out what to pack. I always end up packing too much, but I just can't this time. With my parents traveling with us, the van is full! But after the snow that we got last night...the forecast for Orlando looks pretty darn good. :thumbsup2

I'll be the 40 year old with Minnie ears, a fanny pack, and my itinerary herding everyone to the next thing on my list! :lmao:

Hey just noticed you are a fellow Buckeye! We're flying out of Detroit, so I'm limited too. Thank goodness for our 2br DVC unit with the W/D.

DH said no fanny pack this trip, though I do tend to wear it over my shoulder than around my waist. Picked up a wallet on a string at Target to shut him up. Guess he can carry my lipgloss, camera and packs of wipes, in his pants of 1000 pockets. :rotfl2:

I'm with you on the Orlando forecast, anything is going to be nicer than in OH. That low of 50 will be balmy. :yay:
