Ok don't laugh! :teeth: I just got back from my wonderful 8 day trip at POFQ and I'm already planning next years vacation!!! :Pinkbounc I'm not sure my kids can even stand me at this point! lol

anyway, I'm checking into the Poly during thanksgiving week 07. (we went to Spirit of Aloha this trip and were blown away by the Poly! And actually it isn't much more expensive than it was for me to get two connecting rooms at POFQ to fit the five of us. So, I'm thinking of going then. How bad is it during Thanksgiving week? Crowded? And what is the weather like? We went the week before Christmas in 04 and we were freezing! We had to buy coats and hats! They said it was the "Florida Freeze". So far October has been our favorite time to go. We've gone twice in October, once in December and once in June (yuck).

Thanks so much.... :wave2:

I'll let you know when we get back. We're going this year!! Can't wait. I'm sure there are plenty of people who have been at Thanksgiving. Im looking forward to no humidity, since the last several years we've been during only June & July. Years ago, my DH (actually before he was DH) and I went after Christmas, and we were cold!! We were dressed in layers. The pictures are so funny. We didn't expect it either.

It will be VERY crowded.

The weather is unpredicable, just check back a few days before you leave. Could could have warm days or chilly days. There's no way of knowing now.

We are also going this year Thanksgiving week. I am hoping for nice
weather. As I woke up to 35 degree temperatures this morning.
Even if it is chilly there it will still be warmer than here in MA. I will report
back after our trip as well. :cloud9:

I can let you know when we return from our 11/18 - 11/25 stay at the Poly.

The weather can't be worse than the 30 degrees I woke up to this morning in NY. Florida HAS to be warmer than this!

We've never gone for the whole week of Thanksgiving, but have arrived the Friday after. The parks were crowded but seemed to get a little better as Monday rolled around. This year we're trying the week after Thanksgiving. We'll see how that goes. The weather one year was colder than we expected & another, it was beautiful -- warm during the day & cool in the evening. Still loved it -- crowded or not, cool or warm!!

This will be our second Thanksgiving trip. We have a wonderful time last year. We arrived the Sunday before Thanksgiving and found the crowds managable until Wednesday. Of course we toured "Tour Guide Mike" style--which I HIGHLY reccomend. There is a small fee involved to use his service but it is worthwhile.

Holiday decorations are everywhere--making the whole experience even more magical. The weather is tricky--we layered as it was chilly in the am (55-60s), warm during the day (mid 70s) and again chilly at night. In my opinion--very comfortable weather. I would prefer cooler weather to the heat of the summer--especially while touring a park. Best of luck--you will love WDW during Thanksgiving.

I've gone numerous times @Thanksgiving and have never regretted it. I avoid MK and MGM on Thanksgiving day and I'm pretty happy. I love the Christmas decorations and Osborne lights. Crowds grow as the week progresses. Have only had really cold weather once, otherwise it was very mild and the kids have always been able to use the (heated) pools. I choose it because it means less time away from work/school due to the holiday. Of course, thousands of others do, too. I still recommend it.
