We will be at WDW Thanksgiving week and are trying to plan the best days for each park...we are staying offsite so want to avoid the x-tra magic hour days (unless someone can suggest otherwise). Here's my plan:

Monday (Nov. 20)- Epcot ....touring plans suggests MGM but that's an
X-tra magic hours day so i'm not sure.

Tuesday - Magic Kingdom

Wednesday - MGM

Thursday (Thanksgiving) - Animal Kingdom

Friday and Saturday at Universals parks

does this sound good or bad? any better suggestions?
thanks! :woohoo:

I am not saying this is better. Just letting you know my plans.

Wed afternoon Epcot
Thanksgiving AK Trying to stay away from the busier parks
Fri Mk
Sat Epcot
Sun MGM

I think you're fine...
Last year, we did MK on Monday, MGM on Tuesday with Hoop de Doo that night, AK on Wednesday (pretty busy), MGM on Thursday (busy, but not crazy), and Epcot (to see all the Christmas decorations) on Friday...

It will get busier the closer you get to Thanksgiving...
Just remember to enjoy your time there with patience and you'll have a great time!!! :thumbsup2

We will be at AK on Thanksgiving day also :Pinkbounc With all of us trying to avoid the crowds, we may make a crowd at AK :rotfl2: Maybe we'll see some of you there. We will have our lime green mickey heads on our backpacks :wave2:

Thanksgiving is a great time of the year to go to WDW. PamNC and I are going again this year. This is our 4th trip during Thanksgiving. I think. Really, you will be suprised how small the crowds are compaired to Summer. And you will find time to relax. Yes, at WDW.

I'm so excited. I'm in Detroit now and it is freezing. Today the high in Orlando is 90. Bring it on. Five weeks to go.

Having gone TG week last year, I can offer you this tip: arrive at ANY park that week as early as they open. The crowds before lunch are managable.

After lunch, they are still managable, but they are a lot bigger.

We did EMH morning hours when offered and the ones prior to Tuesday that week, were great.

No hot temperatures either! Even if it is crowded and there are lines,at least it won't feel like we're in an Easy bake oven!!!

Our schedule: We always need two days to do EPCOT!! :moped:

Sunday 11/19 - EPCOT
Monday 11/20 - MGM
Tuesday 11/21 - MK
Wednesday 11/22 - AK
Thursday 11/23 - EPCOT
Friday 11/24 - whichever one we need to do again!!

Here's our plan...

11/18 - arrive around noon at the Poly - Epcot
11/19 - MK, even though this is an EMH, we'll go to the parks in the am, head back to the resort mid-afternoon, then back to the park after dinner
11/20 - either TL if the weather cooperates, or DQ and MAYBE mini-golf or DTD shopping
11/21 - MK

11/23 - AK...looks like there is going to be alot of us there that day, then HDDR
11/24 - Epcot with CP

Looks like we'll be in the same parks Tues, Wed & Thurs...I'll have my LGMPCHs on my back pack...if you see me, stop by and say HI!

I will be there TG week too! Here is my schedule of days..

Sunday 11/19 - arrive at hotel about noon.. no parks this day, enjoy pool and BW.

Monday 11/20 - Go to AK for a.m. EMH to ride EE then head to MGM for the rest of the day. (MGM is EMH evenings)

Tuesday 11/21 - MK all day

Wed. 11/22 - Epcot all day

Thurs. 11/23 TG day - MK (yes, we will be the crazy ones! LOL, but i can't see any other way to spend TG day!!) Then to HDDR for TG dinner!

Friday 11/24 - no parks - doing DTD and BBB with my dd.

Saturday - no parks, breakfast at Poly, then back to the hotel to swim.

Our plans for that week :)

Friday the 17th - Arrive, Downtown Disney
Saturday the 18th - MGM
Sunday the 19th - Magic Kingdom
Monday the 20th - Animal Kingdom
Tuesday the 21st - Epcot
Wednesday the 22nd - MGM
Thursday the 23rd - Epcot (TG dinner at Rose & Crown LOL)
Friday the 24th - Magic Kingdom
Saturday the 25th - Early Flight Home :sad2:

We went last year the same week as well. Like others have said, it gets progressively busier as the week goes on, but even on TG day it's not "terrible".

Have fun!
