I have not seen the Thanksgiving week roll call, or maybe I missed the thread. Who's going ?

We'll be at OKW 11/20 - 11/27! Just have to figure out where to have our Turkey dinner!

Check out the 'Who's going in November' threads in both the Strategies and the Resorts forums. There are several so far. And, we're one group of them.;)

We got an email.......so we're staying at Coronado Springs Nov. 23 - 29th. AND we're doing MVMCP on the 28th. Hope to see some DIS'ers this trip. We'll have lime green tags on our backpacks / camera bags / fanny packs (whichever we decide to carry to the parks that day).

We'll be there! Doing Universal first, 24th-26th, then Saratoga Springs 27th- Dec. 1st. Plan to also be at the MVMCP on the 28th! I'll dig out the lime green again- hope to have better luck spotting someone this trip!

How 'bout our Canadian Thanksgiving...... I'll be there then ;) lol

I'm already on the resorts rollcall list over there...my daughter and I are staying at BWI this year.

Still trying to figure out where to go for dinner... I like turkey, she doesn't, so I have to find a restaurant that will be serving their regular menu also.... leaning towards a buffet so that I'll actually get some food. We went to the California Grill 2 years ago, and after over $100, we both came away hungry. Going to plan it right this time!

have fun planning everyone... My limegreen Mickey head is already on my backpack!

11/20 --> 11/26 ASMu.

I realize that this may sound hard to believe. On our last Thanksgiving trip, we had a "Traditional Thanksgiving Meal" at Cosmic Ray's in the MK. The food was good, the portion size was acceptable, and the cost was a heck of a lot less than we spent on the prior trip when we ate at the Grand Floridian Cafe.

The DD wants to eat at Cosmic Ray's again, the DW wants to eat at the Crystal Palace. I don't where we eat, as long as I get: turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing/filling, cranberry sauce, gravy and a vegie. I'm easy and my needs are simple...

Mickey0216,

I didn't realize they served traditional Thanksgiving Dinners at the counter service restaurants. Do you remember about how much you paid per person for it? Was it a good size plate? I was trying to eat the "traditional" without the expense of going to one of the sit down restaurants.

We will be there too!!!! We will be at the Dolphin from 11/25-12/1. We are going to try for Liberty Tree Tavern for Thanksgiving dinner. Less than 100 days...wooohooo

AimeeM ~ were you there Thanksgiving 2002 too? I think we were in the same places around the same times and didn't know it until later... We were shopping in the ESPN club around noon when the Patriots were playing....

Cindy,

According to the receipt dated 11/25/99 (yes I have the receipt).

The "meal" consisted of turkey, filling, mashed potatoes, green beans and cranberry sauce. The meal was $27.99.

Add to that: 2 medium cokes, 1 medium sprite and 1 medium diet coke and the total for our family of 4 (DW, DD 14, DS 11 and I) was $37.73.

Note: In 1995 we ate Thanskgiving Dinner at the Grand Floridian Cafe and spent $96.25 (plus tip).

My son and I will be at AKL 11/25 thru 11/27 and then off to Pop 1/27 thru 12/5. Both celebrating our birthdays! :cake:

we're still trying to decide where to eat also. Actually I'm sort of leaning toward the buffet at the Dolphin, if they're doing it again this year. I don't know about Disney buffets, but the Thanksgiving buffets I've been to in Michigan have had a wonderful assortment of food offerings.

Thanks for the warning about California Grill. It isn't one of our favorite places to eat simply because we walk away hungry.......the food just doesn't appeal to our tastes.

Maybe we'll see you around the world this Thanksgiving.

We arrive on Thanksgiving Day. We'll be at VWL until 12/1. I think my family has decided on Chef Mickey's for T-day dinner. Anyone out there done that before?
