Thanksgiving week Crowds

I am looking to book my Disney vacation for 2008 and was considering Thanksgiving week or the first week of December. I would prefer going Thanksgiving week because my kids would miss less time from school but worry that the parks will be overly crowded this week. For the folks that have gone to Disney this time of year your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have been T'giving week and I can say it will be crowded - but do-able. We did the week after T'giving this year (well, that would be LAST year now) and IMO it was just as crowded as T'giving week. It's not horrible, tho - we're going back for T'giving 2008!

We have been three times over Thanksgiving week. We usually arrive the Thursday or Friday before Thanksgiving because our kids get out the entire week of school....we usually pull them out one or two days. I will have to say that the past two Nov. trips (we just went in 07) were more crowded from that first one in 2002. More and more people are going during that week. It was fine til about Tuesday and then YOU REALLY notice the crowds. IT only gets worse as each day goes by. We try and leave the day after Thanksgiving because of this. If it were me and you can go early like we do.....you can enjoy the parks a few days before the crowds. If not......the week after Thanksgiving is better. We have friends that arrive every year on Thanksgiving and leave the following Wed. She says that Monday is better and Tuesday and Wed are much better which leads me to believe that if you could even go the week after Thanksgiving you would be even better off.
