We've been to WDW over the entire week of Thanksgiving, departing Saturday morning. We are planning another trip during that week in 2004. BUT, I'm interested in the difference(s) between Thanksgiving week and the week of Christmas. The major difference for us, of course, is that DD wouldn't need to be pulled out of school, even though at TG she'd only miss three days at most. It's still Value Season so it's not an issue of saving money by going one week or the other.

I've never visited during either Thanksgiving or Christmas so I'm no help, sorry. I just wanted to bump this back to page one for you. I'm sure some of our veterans have some excellent advice for you.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding - but are you asking about the week OF Christmas? I could be wrong but that is not value season - but peak season. I think it would be a big difference for you money-wise. Again, I could be wrong!

Right you would be Harambe. I forgot that the week OF Christmas is specially overpriced. Since Christmas 2004 falls on Friday, I suppose school would be closed the following week- between Christmas and New Years. What season will that put me in?

Christmas week is PEAK season, price wise and crowd wise. I am sure the first few days before Thanksgiving are a little quite. Christmas thru New Years will be wall to wall. We have gone for the last 5 years and will be back 12/28-1/2. The parks are all open very long hours, and the place looks great.

We are DVC members and go every year so if we don't see something we can catch it next year. It is a very special time of the year at WDW , so as long as you plan for big crowds( ie PS's ) and slow down to see all the special holiday stuff you should do fine. PM me if you have any more question.
