We are looking to travel to Disney World at Thanksgiving time. I had heard that this was a realatively uncrowded time to go but seeing the chart on Touring Plans I see otherwise.
I am looking to see what people here think about that particular time of year.

Thanks,

Ah....Thanksgiving...

Very nice weather!

Crowds ok till the day b/f turkey day, then it's a MAD house!!!

Would I do it again, yes!!!

I would just arrive as early b/f turkey day as possible and plan most of my park days esp. MK b/f Thursday.

Have a great time and welcome to the DIS!!

Michele

I haven't been there this time of year, but I hear it's quite crowded. It's a level 8 in the UG but then right after Thanksgiving it goes to a 1. I say if you want to go do it anyway. I"ve always gone in the summer with peak crowds so I probably wouldn't notice a difference. Good luck planning and no matter when you go you'll have a blast.

This is our favorite time to go. The holiday decorations are all up by then. If you can stay a few days after, the crowds go way down. The Sunday after is usually empty.

We moved to SW Florida two years ago and we have not been to Disney during the Summer since then. The weather is so much more bearable in the the other seasons. November is usually perfect in the day and light jacket at night. Be prepared though. It could be anywhere from 30-90 degrees at that time of the year. If luggage space is an issue, pay close attention to the forecast before you pack.

Thursday-Saturday of Thanksgiving week are very crowded, but we love the weather and the Christmas decorations. Going again this year.

We usually go the Sunday after Thanksgiving. While it is a little less crowded it is becoming a very popular time of year and every year it gets more and more busy. But it is definately not a 1.

we've never been for Thanksgiving time...or the Christmas decorations. So this year I booked our trip arriving on T'giving day (we probably won't do any parks that day, just dinner). We're staying for the entire next week and hoping for low crowds!

We enjoyed this past year. We were there from the Sat. before Thanksgivng til the Sun. after Thanksgiving. It was crowded some days, but the weather WAS beautiful and at night it really emptied out.

we went to WDW the sunday-weds. before t-day, then did US/IOA on t-day and black friday. We had a blast! the crowds at WDW were not bad at all, we used fastpass when needed, but all in all, didn't feel packed in. Now, US/IOA was a different story! It was pretty much wall to wall people! Especially the day after t-day. But, happily we planned well, got the Ent. rate and stayed at HRH (which was WONDERFUL), and really used the FOTL access! The longest wait we had was about 20 minutes for spiderman, and that was with a 2 hour wait posted! That year was our best trip to Orlando, ever!!! :cool1: :Pinkbounc :cloud9:

We did Sat before to Sat after this past year. It was great up until the Wed before. We took advantage of the MK staying open until midnight, and were able to do almost everything. I think the folks with the younger kids bailed by 8 for bedtime.

Black Friday was a bit nuts, and the Saturday was very crowded, but we were able to get everything done. Plus, on Friday we were able to see the CP and the Osborne Family lights at MGM the Wed before.

I would defintely go again at this time.

Hi,

We will be at WDW from the Saturday before Thanksgiving through the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I am planning on manageable crowds through mid-day on the day before the holiday and then heavy crowds for that night through Saturday.

We went last year the week after Thanksgiving for the MVMCP and had a blast   . This year we are doing the MNSSHP. We will do the Christmas holiday season again. Basically all attractions were a walk on. They were not even using the Fast Pass system. This is the BEST time to go WDW. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Have a great day

John
