We will be putting our downpayment on our AKV contract tomorrow . We recently got guardianship of my sister-in-law, so with 5 family members WDW was about to get more expensive for us. We had previously rented points from a friend and decided DVC was for us. Our first trip as new members will be over Thanksgiving. Can anyone tell me a good TS restaurant to eat at Thanksgiving day? We will be avoiding MK but any of the other parks or resort restaurants are fair game. TIA

Our son and his family did their Thanksgiving meal at OKW, Olivia's because they were doing traditional thanksgiving fare. DH and I did ours at Teppan Edo in Epcot, because it's one of our favs!

Was the Teppan Edo the regular menu or did they have a modified menu? How were the crowds at Epcot? We were thinking of making it our park for the day. Has anyone had Garden Grill for Thanksgiving?

WooHoo!!! My guide just called with our membership number. It's official!!:woohoo:

Teppan Edo was the usual menu. I don't recall if any of the in park restaurants had special menus, but I know many of the resort ones did. I think Epcot is a good choice for Thanksgiving Day. We found the crowds high, but manageable. We were there from the Monday before Thanksgiving until a week after. Crowds seemed to pick up from about Wednesday through the weekend, but they slacked off big time after Sunday.

CONGRATS on the membership!:thumbsup2

Wow! Thanks for the quick response. We're leaning towards Epcot because even if they have large crowds, there is more area for the people to spread out. We "LOVE" Teppan Edo, but I don't know if I can convince the rest of my family (we are also bringing my parents) to give up their traditional Thanksgiving meal. I would in a heartbeat, but I could see them resisting.
