We are going to DW for Thanksgiving this year, can anyone tell me what the weather is usually like the week of Thanksgiving? And which park is the least crowded on Thanksgiving day? Or is it better to just go to DTD instead of a park?
TIA

We went this past Thanksgiving, and we thought the weather was wonderful! It was cool early in the mornings and at night. During the day it warmed up, but not too hot for our liking. Dh and I wore jeans and short sleeved shirts each day (and a light jacking in the early morning and evenings) and we were very comfortable. It was warmish and sunny, but not sweltering hot and humid. Our girls wore shorts and capris most days (with a light jacket for the mornings and evenings). There were a couple of nights that were really chilly and it would have been nice to have a blanket or something to put over them in the stroller. (On these nights they wore long pants and long sleeves plus a light jacket.) Also, we wore gloves on those nights. Overall, we were very happy with the weather. It was much nicer than the heat wave we experienced during our earlier trip the previous October.

We've been there 2x at T-Giving and each time we had at least one day in the 80's (one time it actually hit 86) and also at least one night where it got down into the 50's or colder. We take layers to stay warm in the cool mornings, strip 'em off through the day, then put 'em back on in the cool evenings.

We go every other Thanksgiving (sad to say this is not our year). The weatehr is always beautiful. The mornings are cool, but we still wear shorts and a hoodie. The days are beautiful and dry, not humid and (normally) no rain. The evenings get cool so we pack a pair of lightweight leggings for me and the girls (DH is never cold). They take up very little space and don't weigh much. It is such a great time to go. Have fun!!!

I'll be down there this year too! :dance3:
I've been 3 times over Thanksgiving week- the last was in 2003. Each trip, we wore shorts most of the time (if not every day). We would take a sweatshirt/hoodie in the parks for the mornings and evenings. That said, one year on the day we left- a sudden cold front came through and it was freezing! The weather can be unpredicitable... come prepared. Good news is that we've never had much rain- only one or two showers that lasted maybe 45 minutes each.
Here's hoping for good weather this Thanksgiving!!!:thumbsup2

Here's some pixie dustpixiedust: for us for wonderful weather this Thanksgiving!! I just can't wait to be back there...actually I wanted to go back the day we left!!!

What park do you go to on Thanksgiving day? What park should I avoid!! Also, on Thanksgiving day, if we schedule a TS meal, do we have to eat a Thanksgiving meal, or can we pick from their regular menu? We are undecided if we are going to go to Epcot and eat at Le Cellier's or stay in DTD and eat at Planet Hollywood or Wolfgang Puck, but we know we don't want a Thanksgiving meal, especially at Le Cellier's, we definately want one of their mouth watering steaks!!!
TIA

I am glad to hear that the weather is OK, but what are the crowds like?

We went over Thanksgiving 2007 and honestly I will never go during that week again. It was insane. The crowds at all the parks and the restaurants were packed all week. Avoid MK at all cost Thanksgiving Day!!! We didn't obviously, and had a 20 min wait to get OUT of The Plaza Restaurant the crowd was so bad after Wishes:scared1: . I was getting a little anxious standing shoulder to shoulder. It was crazy!!!:sad2:

The weather was nice though. Warm durning the day, cooler at night. Please note that this is just my honest opnion. Others may have had different experiences:goodvibes
