Thanksgiving Saturday crowds

I know statistically the whole Thanksgiving weekend is pretty busy, but I'm looking for first-hand experiences on MGM in particular? Two years ago I spent that weekend with my dad in FL, and we went to Epcot on the Saturday. I was amazed at what I perceived to be the lack of crowds, but I'm wondering now if maybe it's because it's just such a large park, and can swallow a lot of people? I'm going back down this year and we are considering doing MGM - much smaller park. Should I expect it to be pretty crowded? Also, I've never been to Animal Kingdom; how does that compare in size?

TIA :wave2:

Epcot almost never seems crowded to me. I think it is the size, openess, and the amount of places to 'put' people.

Anmal Kingdom is bigger in size than MGM, but to me, always seems crowded, no matter how many people are there. I think that the walkways are smaller maybe?

I know that doesn't answer your exact question, but I hope it helps.

Yes, it does help! Thanks. It's kind of one of those "hard facts" versus "perception" things. The parks could have been "mobbed" the day we were there but I wouldn't have known it there in Epcot! :confused3

My dad also has pretty bad claustrophobia - if he feels he's being hemmed in on every side he gets quite nervous. Better keep the narrow pathways in mind and maybe steer clear of AK. I love MGM and think he would, too, so hopefully it won't be too bad!
