Thanksgiving is a popular time to go to the fort.

I just checked online and there are several available for a party of 4 but it is odd times which may be all you can get

Call call call then call some more. If that doesn't work call again. That's what we do.

Call every day, or twice a day if you can. Take any part of the time you want that they have - you can cobble together a reservation over time. I've had to do this a couple times for Thanksgiving and Spring Break, and I always ended up getting what I needed, sometimes one night at a time. This year I made my T'giving reservation way in advance and we might have to cancel, although I won't be sure until it gets a lot closer (fingers crossed that we can go!). I think a lot of people make reservations even though they're not sure they'll actually go, because it's easier to cancel a reservation than to get one during popular times. When these folks get around to cancelling, you might pick up the dates you need.

Keep at it.
I had been trying since July. I got wanted, just by chance in September.
I started by calling, but found it much easier to check online.
Have your credit card beside when you are checking. If your wish comes available there will be no time to play around. It is my understanding that just because you are in the process of reserving,doesn't mean that it is yours. The person that clicks that pay button first is the big winner!

You might have to grab available days as they pop up - if you find any - and then have your reservations linked.

Just beware that the downside to this method during a busy week (Thanksgiving is super popular at the Fort) is that they actually may make you move campsites for each reservation - especially if you book more than one class of site.
