Hi all -

We are arriving Thanksgiving day - going to straight to the BW for our pre-ordered turkey dinner.

Thinking about going after dinner to see the lights - is that the first night they open? If so, that night will probably be REALLY crowded, right?

Does anyone know what time they start? I seem to remember they start after dark, but I'm not sure when that is.

Also, we've never stayed at BW before, can you walk to MGM from there? I know you can walk to the S/D, not sure if the path continues from there.

THANKS in advance for any advice or info.

Susy

Hi, yes you can walk to MGM from BW. We walked from MGM to Swan and had to pass the BW on the sidewalk path.

I want to bump you up for the osborne lights question. I plan to go the 24th. I believe that is actually the first night. I am concerned about crowds, too, but I am thinking of going during Fantasmic as that may cut down on the crowds a bit.

Any info would be appreciated!!! We have never been at this time of the year and it seems like there will be so much to do and see and so crowded, too. We need as many timing tips as possible!

:earsgirl:

I am also curious about the crowds for thelights the first few days. We will bethere Friday the 26 and it is the only time we will be able to see the lights. Any suggestions for a good time to go or strategies?

We are also planning on going to see the Osborne Lights on the 24th as we are headed to Orlando for Thanksgiving with family, so I thought a 1-night side trip to WDW was in order :p

I am assuming it will be pretty crowded. I think the best time to go would be right before the park closes, but I am not really sure.

Tell me about the preordered Turkey dinner.... We are also arriving on Thanksgiving and I have no idea what we are going to do....

Osborne Lights open to the public on 11/24. Have been several times @opening night and it wasn't so bad that I wouldn't do it again. I'll be there for opening night this year. Have a wonderful trip!

We are landing around 4pm, the same flight we always take. It usually takes us just over an hour to get bags, get to the hotel, check in.

To save time and because it IS going to be turkey day, we pre-ordered thanksgiving dinner from room service at the BW.

They couldnt have been nicer and let us order whatever we wanted - turkey, stuffing, cranberries, sweet potatoes, pies, etc.

We are hoping to just have time for dinner then head to lights close to 6pm, before the fantasmic show lets out.

Thanks to all for the info and advice!
