Thanksgiving or Christmas (less crowd)?

I am planning to take the family next year (2005) during the holidays. Can anyone advise me whether it's more crowded at Disneyland CA during Thanksgiving vacation, or Christmas vacation. Your thoughts and recommendations are appreciated!

I would think that a weekday during the Christmas break would be a really great time to go. Since EVERYONE has TH-SUN off for Thanksgiving, it will be very crowded...

Christmas day is a crack-up at DL, I've gone only once, and was stunned at the number of Jewish folks there...wearin' the yamikahs (sp), eatin' the baklavah and watchin' the Christmas parade!

From what I hear from my couple of Jewish friends here in SoCal, it sort of a traditon for the him and his family to go to DL on Christmas!

The "Holiday" fireworks do have a Dreidel song bit in them, followed by "White Christmas" during the snowfall....

The week between Christmas and New Years is the most crowded week of the year. I was there at that time a few years ago and the park was absolutely packed, you literally could barely move anywhere. Since then, we have gone every year over Thanksgiving Break, it's crowded, but a fun crowded, not a "I can't even breathe there's so many people here" crowded.

We go almost every year for Christmas and I can't believe there could be a MORE crowded time! Still, it doesn't keep us from going and enjoying all that holiday spirit!

Both will be crowded. But Thanksgiving will be considerable less crowded.

Are you going for the whole week? If so, maybe you could do the days before Thanksgiving @ DL and then spend the rest of the week in San Diego or just do some general site-seeing. I have heard many horror stories about the ride wait times during Christmas.
