I am going to the fort Nov 10th thru Nov 23rd.... Should I decorate for Thanksgiving or Christmas?.......I am not sure since the hotels will probably have Christmas trees up....anyone else going then?

You can do either.... or both!!! I've seen it all! Generally, Disney doesn't decorate at the Fort until Thanksgiving weekend. Some resorts are sooner than that, however. It just depends on how they schedule the contractors.

How about a Santa Claus riding a Turkey (or a peacock)!!! Yep, that'd cover it all!!:thumbsup2

Yea, just do both. Normally I see a couple turkey items out during Thanksgiving week, but it's mostly Christmas stuff. It's just easier to decorate for Christmas, but if you're going to be there for that long I would just do both!

Thanks. We once stayed at the BW and they had a lot of decorations up by then. I do have more Christmas things, so I will probable go with that.
2 1/2 more weeks....I can't wait:banana:

If I bring both, then I will have to hide some. My husband will go nuts  if he sees too much stuff.

I agree with most everyone here, I see mostly Christmas decor, but I think it would definitely be cute to put out Thanksgiving stuff too.
I'll be there Thanksgiving week. Maybe we'll see each other! I'll be the girl with the biggest smile in the world on her face! :earsgirl:

Christmas! It's never too early for Christmas. At least that's what we'll be telling ourselves all weekend as we put up our Christmas trees here at home. 9 of them! DH is big into Christmas. :cool1: We leave in a few weeks for the Fort and don't want to be racing to get them up when we get back home in mid December.

At least we're in good company - my aunt said she heard the host on QVC this morning talking about putting up their Christmas trees already. :santa:

You know, I enjoy the decorations so much at the Fort, it really doesnt matter what people put up. I think everyone does a great job. There was a guy DSis knows, Elevator Ray, who used to put big, lighted Mickey Heads up in the trees at least 20'. THAT was impressive.

I've got several strings of Disney-related tacky lights for my pop-up ...

And other light strings/nets to put around...

And some garland...

And a electric star to string up high in a tree.....

And a table-top sized Pooh themed Christmas tree....

And a outdoor timer to cut them all off at bedtime so the glow won't keep me up all night! :rotfl:
