Thanksgiving number two

we go to family for turkey day but I always miss the big leftovers which are the best part of it all. So we always have a turkey dinner the weekend after. Well, yesterday I couldn't find my meat thermometer. We thought the turkey was done but it wasn't even close. So it had to go back in the oven after resting for 45 minutes and we ordered pizza. So tonight is turkey day2nd. I'm glad it wasn't really the day with company and a rare bird.

Oooops! Glad you at least figured it out before you ate some. A whole group of friends of mine got really sick from rare turkey one year when one of them tried making the dinner for the first time. Poor guy...he's such a nice guy and NOBODY will accept a dinner invitation at his house anymore!

We had four thanksgivings this year!
One with my great aunt, the saturday before
one with DW and I only, that sunday. (she wanted to test the new roaster before cooking the dinner for my fam on thursday)
one with my fam on thanksgiving
one with her fam the saturday after....

they were all great!
