We will be visiting 11/20-11/26. I am not sure yet if Thanksgiving Day will end up being a day that we just stay at our resort (Grand Floridian) and enjoy all the fun recreational things to do, or if we will be in a park.

We have the DDP and I am looking for recommendations for Thanksgiving sit-down, either late lunch or dinner time. Would welcome recs both at resorts, and parks.

Thanks

We ate at Sanaa for Thanksgiving last year and it was great. I keep meaning to get a review up on it because I couldn't find anything on it before we went.

We have done LTT in MK for a traditional feel for Thanksgiving - we did a lunch so if park got crowded later we could head out, and enjoyed early touring beforehand.

That's funny because Sanaa is on my list to book this year and I am considering it for Thanksgiving Day if we decide not to go to a park.

I'll try and get the review up this weekend. I took pictures of my plate and the menus so you will have a better idea. It really was good I would go back again for thanksgiving. We are going back to try the regular menu in a few weeks.

Did they have a special menu just for Thanksgiving or still offer the regular items?

We have done Jiko and California Grill. Didn't notice anything different on the menus.

We're planning on Trails End for dinner this year. In 2016 when we were last there over Thanksgiving, we ate at Le Cellier (not our first choice, but we had to change our plans last minute and this was all that was available that had a traditional Thanksgiving meal). Unfortunately the Thanksgiving meal there was just terrible.

Years ago we had Christmas at Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness lodge and LOVED it! I think it would be a fun way to have Thanksgiving myself.

We did Trail’s End a few trips ago and it was not a good experience. It was so crowded we waited a long time after our ADR time and it was so packed in there it was hard to move. They kept running out of food and were not quick to replenish. We went to Boma last time and loved it!

We were just thinking Trails End since we’ll be camping there for that trip. Did Boma have any traditional Thanksgiving dishes or was it their usual menu?

We were thinking of The Wave for our Thanksgiving meal this year. We did Boma 2 years ago, and while it was not an official Thanksgiving restaurant, they did have turkey and some traditional sides. It was so good!! I think The Wave is one of the official Thanksgiving spots. Anyone have any experience with The Wave for Thanksgiving?

2 years ago we were there for Thanksgiving week. I ate turkey all week at our All Star Music. We spent Thanksgiving day at universal studios and had dinner at All Star Music. We are going Thanksgiving week this year as well. I am back and forth between doing the same this year or an ADR.

One year we stayed at Coronado Springs over Thanksgiving. We had the best family dinner at the Pepper Market. It is their counter service, but they had a special set up with traditional Thanksgiving meal offerings. There were only two other families there. It was so nice and quiet, and the food was yummy. We mistakenly thought the lack of crowds there would be the same the next day in the parks. We were wrong! It was very crowded in the parks!

We were also at Sanaa for Thanksgiving. You could order from the regular menu and there was a more traditional Thanksgiving meal you could choose. We had the regular menu and it was AWESOME.
