Thanksgiving Dinner
Our plans have changed and we are now staying at WDW through Thanksgiving. It is way to late to get any reservations so I was wondering where we might be able to get a turkey lunch or dinner. Now I don’t need a big sit down meal just a little turkey We are staying at Port Orleans and I know in the past they have had a Thanksgiving dinner you could get. I don’t see it listed now but then again it shows that the all-stars sports is having Thanksgiving dinner so I would guess that all of the all-stars would have it too but it is not listed. We can go where ever we ned to. Thanks for any help.

I would call and ask what's available at a Deluxe resort restaurant.

It's been awhile for my family but we spent 2 Thanksgivings at Cape May Cafe in The Beach Club and it was really good. I remember the last-time specifically hearing that walk-ins were seated.

Artist's Point at SSR has a terrific counter service T-giving meal w/all the traditional elements...

This is our first trip during Thanksgiving week and we decided on Trail's End Buffet at Ft. Wilderness for dinner.

While we would love to go to Trails End they have no openings. It looks like we might have to eat at a food court and that is not a problem but I just cant find one that says they are having it. I know the carving station at Port Orleans has Turkey at the carving station so I am hopeing that will be good. I an not complaining because our plans changed and we cant do anything about that. We were not suppose to be there on Thanksgiving day. But what ever we get to eat it will be great bacause we are at WDW......:cool1:

We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside last Thanksgiving week, and on Thanksgiving, we had lunch at Epcot. That evening, we had the counter service Thanksgiving meal at POR Riverside Mill. It was fantastic! My boys were the ones desperate for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner and they were more than pleased with this one! I'm sure they'll do it again. We didn't know anything about it until Thanksgiving Day.

Good luck and having a little extra time at Disney World will be well worth it, whatever you end up eating! :goodvibes Have a terrific trip! (we'll be there again NEXT Thanksgiving! :cool1: )

When we were there over Thanksgiving a few years ago ASMo had a Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings in their food court

thanks so much this is what I was looking for........ I am sure we will have a great time we always do.......

You should not have an issue at all. We've done T-day @ Disney for the past 5 years and we have more issues finding un-traditional than traditional dinner. Majority of places have a tradtional dinner for Thanksgiving I think the only time we did not see turkey was at Flame Tree. Have a great time!
and keep checking ADR's especially after 10/28 when you have to leave a CC for popular spots! you might be surprised to see what opens up!

Thanks I was looking at that and I am sure you are right and something could open up. I was looking for plan A and then once we are there we can always go to plan B...

another option if just a good turkey sandwich is what you are looking for is Earl of Sandwich in DTD has a special holiday turkey sandwich w/stuffing and cranberry... it's a nice boatride away from POR and a great place to spend some time away from the parks!

(we will also be in POR for pre-Thanksgiving week but will be departing on TDay)
