Do you prefer whole cranberry sauce or jellied?

I prefer jellied - and could easily eat an entire can all on my own..:thumbsup2

Homemade. :thumbsup2 A bag of cranberries, a cup of sugar, a cup of water. YUM.

I like my homemade cranberry applesauce. My mother, however, says it's not Thanksgiving until you hear the slurping sound of the jellied cranberry sauce coming out of the can...

I have issues with a quivering blob of can-shaped cranberry sauce :teeth:

i'll take it either way. :) more please.

The greatest irony of my life is that I grew up on a cranberry farm and I really really dislike anything cranberry.

I will eat the jellied sauce on a turkey and stuffing sandwich the day after Thanksgiving and that's about it

HOMEMADE only though and we make it by the gallon (okay several gallons) :rotfl:

You're in southeast, MA - huh? Just had to say that when I took my DD to Plymouth one year - at harvest time - and she saw the cranberry bogs, she couldn't believe that was where her "jellied" cranberry sauce came from.. LOL..

There's something about the "whole" sauce - feels scratchy when it's going down my throat..

both!

grew up with the jellied canned stuff and I just can't give up the traditional comfort food!

However, I also make fresh with orange - this year I am going to try ginger as well.

:wizard:

Jellied. It just isnt Thanksgiving without that slurp. One year we went to the IL's and they didnt have any cranberry sauce. From then on I always have a can in my purse just in case :rolleyes1

I like whole berry over jellied, but nothing beats homemade.

It's very easy to make. Follow the recipe on the back of the Ocean Spray bag. After it's cooked, stir in about a cup of chopped walnuts, one peeled and cubed orange, and a teaspoon of cinnamon.

Simple and yummy too!
