I may be crazy. Taking a 13 year-old boy, twin 6 year-olds and a 4 year-old. I got the Cinderella breakfast. Missed out on the Storybook breakfast. Any suggestions on getting any? I haven't been to Disney in 5 years. What is a must do for the kids. Anything that's not in the books I could use. Do Sleeping Beauty and Snow White appear anywhere other than the Storybook breakfast. I'm a little leary on our first hotel. We're staying at the Wyndham for four days. I've read nothing but complaints lately. We're staying at the Vistana for a week. Any inside info. on these hotels would be appreciated.
Also, Thanksgiving dinner ideas. I'm not activating our annual passes until the day after Thanksgiving. Staying at the Wyndham and have no cooking facilities.

Aquidneck, you asked a lot of questions in that one post. May I suggest breaking it up into separate threads for different quesitons? That way you may get more of a response to your questions.

With that crew you are taking i would stay on disney property it is easy to get around and not long wait times for buses. Keep calling back people will cancel when it gets closer.

The Cindy breakfast is the most coveted PS, so if you have that, you'll have a great experience and won't really miss not having the Storybook breakfast. However, if you still want to try, then your best bet is to call every day when the reservation lines open, as there are daily cancellations and you might be able to catch one. An alternative thought for breakfast, though, would be to have it at one of the resort restaurants. That will give you a chance to see some of the Disney resorts. The Animal Kingdom Lodge does a great buffet breakfast at Boma (the food can be a bit exotic, but there's also the standard eggs and stuff) and then you can take a walk outside to see if you can see any animals. Breakfast at Wilderness Lodge is fun -- Whispering Canyon is noisy and silly and full of "yee-haws" and whoops and hollers. Kids love it!

You should go to www.disneyworld.com and take a look at all the attractions and shows. Then you and your kids can pick out things that you really want to see. There's a lot of ground to cover, and you'll want to have a plan anyway so that you don't end up standing in line for something for 40 mins, only to discover that no one was really interested in that ride anyway!

Do Sleeping Beauty and Snow White appear anywhere other than the Storybook breakfast.
Yes. You can meet them at several places. They are at Toontown in the Princess Room, and they appear at Epcot as well, in countries associated with their stories (Snow White in Germany; Sleeping Beauty in France). The easiest thing to do is to check with Guest Relations when you arrive in the morning and ask for a character schedule. They'll be able to tell you exactly where and approximately when you can meet your favorite characters.

I'm afraid the only Wyndham I've ever stayed in was in Salt Lake City, but I truly enjoyed that one!

We're staying at the Vistana for a week.
Vistana gets generally good reviews, especially from families. I'm sure they have a website you can check for views of the pools and such!

This might be another great time to eat at one of the Disney resorts, although you'll need to make your PS at any Disney resort way ahead of time for Thanksgiving -- those fill up fast. Beach Club (Cape May) is a favorite of mine for Thanksgiving, but all of the restaurants will have something special. There are also special Thanksgiving dinners at virtually every hotel restaurant in the Disney area, so you have a lot to choose from. Or, there's places like Perkins that will have your standard turkey dinner, a bit on the less expensive side, although you don't have the atmosphere there that you'll have at a Disney resort.
