Disney nighttime parade - Begins July 20, 2025!!

Having gathered all the internet evidence I shall place my no-money bet!

Official debut Tuesday, July 8
Soft open Sunday, July 6

Why? Disney has a history of debuting things on Tuesdays and Fridays (idk why those days but they do). Two days of soft openings accessible to the general public happened with Harmonius and one day of a soft opening with 50th Fireworks so not unprecedented. CMs continuing blackout practically confirms it will be running over the 2nd week of July. Moving 7/2 EEH to AK indicates something happening at MK, no reason to move it otherwise, however the fireworks not moving until Sun leads me to speculate parade testing after park close.

Based on a mysterious invitation from a Magic Kingdom CM to book July 15, that’s my guess. Would they do an AP preview because he also asked if I was an AP holder before mentioning that specific date

I just have to say it's pretty crazy they didn't have this ready to go around memorial day (Unofficial start to summer). It just seems so odd.

Agreed…I was expecting it to premiere right after the Fourth of July holidays. July 20th will be our first night at the parks! I’m excited to see it, but I would have liked for the parade to have been out for a couple of weeks before we got there. Now we will have to fight the crowds all week, especially that first night!

This! I'd pondered having my trip this summer to be over my birthday (July 20) but went with mid-late August instead. I had an initial gut "Let's look at changing..." but...

1 - I'd be giving up Cyndi Lauper in concert on the 19th
2 - it would mess up the cat sitter dates already booked
3 - I'd be having like a 1-2 day turn around before going to Wisconsin for the Reconciling Ministries Network Convocation
4 - cruises are a LOT more in July and I'm doing land/sea
and 5 - hopefully in August I won't be fighting vloggers and "influencers" as much

So my trip is remaining mid-late August.

Hoping this new AP reservation rule goes away by end of Aug/Sep. Looks like we won’t be park hopping in our MK day…Ugh! Now wish I’d never bought a new AP. What a mess!
