Ok, need some help... We just booked a trip for Thanksgiving week. Where is the best place for dinner? Family of 12. I appreciate all your help on this one gang.

So...do you want a traditional T-day dinner with all the trimmings? Or are you looking for good food, good atmosphere that can seat 12 comfortably?

How about right in your villa? If you don't want to make everything from scratch Publix offers a fully cooked Thanksgiving meal. You would just need to reheat it. We cooked a full turkey dinner in our villa one Thanksgiving and my now-adult children still hold that up as one of our best DVC vacations.

Last year we enjoyed Thanksgiving Dinner at Cap May. They had traditional Thanksgiving food and seafood. All was good. It is a buffet though. We spent the day at DHS and had a nice boat ride to the Beach Club and walked back to DHS for our evening plans. It was a very nice afternoon and the meal was great. The advantage of the buffet for a large group is the variety available.

We are veterans of many T-day weeks and I'll tell you haven't gone to a restaurant yet that DIDNT offer the traditional T-day menu! Even Boma which we did the last time had a whole section of traditional Thanksgiving food! :) So pick the spot you want to be in park, resort etc. where you can most enjoy your time together!

We did a non traditional dinner at Fulton's Crab house - it was great! Liberty Tree is good, and I'd also suggest Artists Point at Wilderness Lodge.

Given the menu, atmosphere and family-style service, I would highly recommend Liberty Tree Tavern. :thumbsup2

For a non-park dinner, I would recommend Artist Point, again because of the atmosphere.

I didn't realize that most places offered the traditional thanksgiving foods. It makes sense of course. We are hoping for either Liberty Tavern or Artist Point. We are very excited for the Thanksgiving trip. Thank you everyone for all your help! -Joe

Last year, we went to the Polynesian luau on Thanksgiving - not traditional but we enjoyed it and then went back over to MK for the parade and fireworks.
