Ok, I'm having hard time choosing a place to eat on Thanksgiving at MGM. I figure we'll be arriving early in the day, and in the evening we'll go see the Osborne Lights at MGM.
Can anyone ( everyone) shoot me some ideas? TIA!

We are also going at Thanksgiving. We may try for a Hollywood & Vine Fantasmic package reservation. Since it is a buffet, I figure that most of the traditional offerings will be available, and that there will be something for everyone (including picky kids!)

I would suggest the Brown Derby. There Thanks. meal is very good, Turkey and all the trimmings plus your choice of desserts. Then you can leisurely stroll over to the backlot for the lights.

Oh I didn't know H&V has a buffet! Hm learn something new. Sounds good to me. Think you sold me on H&V! Thanks!

We are going to be at Disney on Thanksgiving as well. This will be our first trip and thought a character dinner would be a good idea for that day. Any suggestions.... Is the park a little less crowded on Thanksgiving day?

Keep reading about Thanksgiving week and I think you will find that everyone who has visited in the past will say that the Magic Kingdom is VERY CROWDED on Thanksginving Day. I'm staying clear of the parks and going to 1900 Park Fair for Thanksgiving.

In 1999, 17 of us had a wonderful dinner at the Cape May Buffet. You can just hop the boat and be at the Studio in a matter of minutes.
The dinner was just grand for Thanksgiving. All the traditional foods plus many seafood choices. I would recommend it!

We will also be there at Thanksgiving and we are leaning toward 1900 Park Fare too.

My family voted for Chef Mickeys. But we won't be going into MK that day. Too crowded.

We will also be there for Thanksgiving. I am torn between making a PS for Fantasmic package at Brown Derby, assuming they will have Thanksgiving fare --
or making a PS for somewhere like 1900 Park Fare, so that we aren't comitted to going to a park that day.

I'd like to do the Fantasmic package at some point anyway, and it will probably be just as crowded at the parks on Friday and Saturday. Or we could go to MGM on the following Monday, which should be less crowded. (We are going to MVMCP on Sunday!)

DH has a more difficult time with crowds and buffets, but DS7 thinks buffets are the best!

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Now I'm not sure whether to try for Hollywood & Vine or the Brown Derby. For anyone who has eaten a the Brown Derby, how is the Thankgiving meal served? Is it preplated? Served family style? Will the kids like the food? Thanks for any info. that can be provided. We've never eaten at either one of these restaurants.
