Thanksgiving day auto train

Did anyone take the auto train on Thanksgiving? We took it the day after in 2008 (very few people) and were planning on that again next year, but I saw that the day after was completely sold out this year - yikes! How were the crouds on Thanksgiving day?

I left the day after Thanksgiving and all the rooms were completely sold out. It was pretty crowded on the train.

Thanks for the info...Amtrak web site said it was sold out, so I can believe it was crowded. I was nearly empty in 2008.. We're thinking of trying Thankgiving day if that was less crowded..

Any Thanksgiving day travelers out there?
