Thanksgiving Break Plans

Looks like we're getting our Christmas tree a few days before Thanksgiving, instead of the day afterwards. We get to drive out to the mountains, get the tree, and have lunch/dinner at the Daniel Boone Inn, a family-style restaurant with the best country ham biscuits.

After that, back to school to be on duty for three days. Looks like I'll miss Black Friday this year. Anyone planning on venturing out from the safety of their homes to brave the stores?

Yep, I'll be venturing out, like I do every year. My family usually waits until a few days after Thanksgiving to do their major shopping, so when I do the annual Day After Thanksgiving shopping, I always go with a good friend of mine and his family. We hit the good stores...Neiman Marcus, Saks, Macy's, Burberry, and often make many trips back to the car to dispose of our purchases and free up our arms to hold more on the next round.

I will probably sleep most of the break, but there will be shopping involved as well. see me sleeping!

Some sleep, lots of eating, maybe some shopping, or a movie with my sister. Thursday we're supposed to go to my aunts and uncle's, but it is supposed to snow and freezing rain and stuff, and their house is an hour away. So I'm not sure that we'll get to go Friday we're headed for my grandparents', way up in northern NH. Friday night watching the "Festival of Lights" parade (night time Christmas parade). Saturday we'll come home, hopefully after sitting in front of the tv watching UNH win their playoff football game. Sunday it's back to school
Also sometime between tomorrow night and Sunday I'll also be saying good bye to my dad until February or March. Looks like he's headed off to Washington state for business, and won't even get back for Christmas
So it'll be a crazy break. And I'll be doing very little work

Tickets home were really expensive for 4 days (I live in CT and go to ASU) so I'm going to California for the weekend with my boyfriend, and friends from the University of Hawaii!

We're leaving Wed. night and staying at one of their houses for the weekend...Downside is I'm missing Black Friay but I'll be at Disneyland that day instead!

I am going to hopefully do a five mile run then go to Grandmas house. Not much but I am looking forward to it.

I'll be headed to my parents house in Dallas tomorrow after my last class. I won't get much of a break though, because I have homework in all of my classes. I have a final the monday after the break. fun stuff. Also on Thanksgiving I will be watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade ... i watched ever year since i was little! i will be going to the black friday sales though, its basically tradition in my family. we spend thanksgiving night looking over the papers and making plans like were going in to battel! My mom really gets into it! We seperate ... usually me w/ my mom and grandmother, and my brother and dad together. whatever is top on the list we're there an hour before the store opens, seriously ... haha ... i don't know, i've done it since i was little, so thanksgiving break w/ out would seem strange!

Thanksgiving break? I'm working 8 hrs on Wednesday, a 9 hour day on Thursday, 9 on Friday, 10 (hoping for more actually) on Saturday.

Let's see, wednesday night is reserved for partying w/ my best friends who are home on break, thursday is a huge dinner, friday i'm having 2 wisdom teeth removed (i managed to get that post-poned) the remainder will be spend doped up on painkillers and trying to write a paper for Russian Civ and do an interview for world religions class all while trying to finish "In the Time of the Butterflies" for my Latin American Women's Studies course oh and probably a french composition. yay college!

Lets see, Tuesday night getting drinking with the frat, wednesday night drinking with friends from other colleges back home, thursday drinking with the family, friday sleep all day and get a philly cheesesteak followed by shopping, saturday party all day with college football and drinking, sunday drive back down to slo. its gonna be a good week.
