Thanksgiving bookings already??

My sister is going to try to go over Thanksgiving. I have never been to WDW in November..should she be booking her hotel now? I dont know how busy they get but I figure they are packed. They are going to go November 20-24..so they actually will leave on Thanksgiving day...any info or thoughts would be helpful.

I would definitely book soon for a holiday week. It is busy, but since they are leaving on Thanksgiving day, that might help. We were there for Thanksgiving 3 1/2 years ago. With careful planning there is a ton of fun to be had. Just make sure that she does PS for that time if she is the type who isn't flexible enought to just "wing-it".
I would also make sure that if she needs a car rental, that she takes care of that soon. We got our car reserved early, but when the brakes failed, they had a very difficult time finding a replacement for us. We ended up with a compact car (instead of an SUV) for two days until an SUV became available, which was inconvenient.

We went Nov. of 2002..I made our resv. a year ahead..but we were staying at SOG too. We were there from Friday before Thanksgiving until Sat. after....there will be crowds...but if they are there before Turkey Day.......it won't be as crowded. Each day it got a little worse. We still had a great time.......go in expecting to NOT DO IT ALL...but to get so much out of it too....the decorations for Christmas, the holiday spirit..........it was fun.

I booked our overflow rate from SOG to CBR for Thanksgiving about 2 weeks ago-as soon as I saw SOG was full I went for it! We stayed at AKL Thanksgiving 2003 and had the best time. The parks in the morning are very manageable, and we enjoy exploring the resorts/DTD in the afternoons.

We plan to get SP's again as soon as DH is home from Iraq. If better rates come out for Deluxes, we will upgrade. SOG rates for the deluxes that week were not that great.

She may be ok with her dates though. She can always book and change to a code later should one come out.
