We have Priority seating at Crystal Palace on Thanksgiving. We are not arriving in FL until that day. Has the park ever reached capacity in the past on Thanksgiving? How do PS work if the park reaches capacity before you get there?

This is our first trip over Thanksgiving and I'm a little worried about the crowds since all of our ps our in MK and this is supposedly the most crowded.

Anyone know?

Thanks,
Annette

Yes, it usually does fill to capacity. Unfortunately a PS does not guarantee you entrance into the park. You didn't say how late you would be arriving at the MK. I'd think you'd be ok up until around 10 or 11 a.m.

We should be arriving about 10 or 11 at the hotel. We're driving from Atlanta. Does it make a difference if you have an AP or are staying on property?

For Thanksgiving, you're charged if you don't show up and I was told I had to cancel 7 days out.

What do I do?

call dinning today and tell them your situation.

I don't think I am even going to the parks that day - too many people!!!

I would think they will let you cancel - even people with PS have a long wait on the holidays.

However if you want to wait and see if you make it - not being allowed to enter the parks - is a pretty good reason for not being at your PS. I would think you would get a refund.

However I still try to cancel today - do you really want to be there with thousands and thousands of other....

Is the parks reaching capacity going to be an issue that entire weekend?

We have one other PS at MK for Saturday (I think).

I have been looking forward to this trip for so long now it's stressing me out.

I don't know what I should do.

I should add we're only there Thurs-Sun so we only have 3 days in the parks.

It may reach capacity each day, but honestly, I think that wouldn't be until way later during the day....if at all. But be prepared for huge crowds. We will be at WDW Thanksgiving too, but are eating in Epcot.
As far as your AP guaranteeing you entry into a park, yes, that is true, however, they don't guarantee it will be the park of your choice, just a guarantee into a park. I do believe if you are staying at a Magic Kingdom hotel you may get prefferentail treatment, but I'm not totally sure.
I agree, you should call and ask, maybe they can tell you better how to go about it.
Good luck, and try not to stress. This is supposed to be fun!!! :p

Thanks everyone for your replies.

I did call Disney and according to the lady I spoke to there are 4 phases of capacity. As long as the park is in phases 1-3 AP holders and PS take precedent and will not be turned away. So I'm feeling better that we will make it into the park.

She also checked and if we can't get into the park we will not be charged.

I feel much better. Thanks.

Now all I have to worry about is packing.
