Thanksgiving advice

yes, we booked on Disney's web site...
I talked to multiple people and there is no way to activate FP's before the start date of the package. I could buy tickets for the 1st 2 nights of the split stay but I would be paying full price, not just adding days to existing tickets with is much cheaper. we will make whatever FP's we can when we arrive on thanksgiving and just hang out... No FP's at Disney beats sitting around at home waiting to come down on Saturday for our actual free dining package..

This doesn't sound right at all. Everyone staying onsite with tickets gets the 60 day window. Maybe @hiroMYhero can help??

I went the week of Thanksgiving in 2016. It wasn't nearly as bad as people made it sound. Their was certainly a difference in crowd levels between Sunday-Tuesday and Wednesday-Friday, but it was doable. I think the very worst day was Friday, as we couldn't get any fastpasses and all of the rides had very long waits. The weather was pretty chilly in the morning, and we were wearing hoodies, which we had to go back to our room and shed by midday. We just went with the flow and had a GREAT time!

I would love help, talked to fairy godmother, called Disney, asked on forum but no solution.
Was told we can activate the tickets when we arrive at Disney so we can go to the parks on thanksgiving and Friday but have been told we can not make fast passes for days that are BEFORE the start of the package arrival date which is Saturday after thanksgiving... like I said, not the end of the world but fast passes would be nice...

Ah ok I must have misunderstood your first post. I thought someone told you that you couldn't make FPs at all at 60 days. Packages are a mystery to me as we never book them.
