Thanksgiving 2009

I just realized that the 11 month booking window for next year's Thanksgiving week will be Christmas week. We'll be at SSR at that time! As much as I want to go next year, I can't justify spending my vacation dialing MS for that week. I'm not too picky with which resort I get, but what are my chances of having an opening if I waited till January to book that week? I realize I could only book SSR till the 7 month window opens, but how busy is that week? Surely there will be an opening in SSR or one of the newly opened resorts (AKV Kidani, maybe BLT). Is that wishful thinking?

Actually calling that week shouldn't be that big a deal. It is a busy week, but not as busy as Easter, July 4th and NYE. You might find some extra time during your trip to make a call to MS.

Chances are good that you can get a room a 7 months, but you might have to waitlist a day or two.
