Thanksgiving 2007

I am thinking of going Thanksgiving of 2007. Is this a good time to go?
Does anyone know of any codes for then? Are the decorations out yet?

This year Thanksgiving and Christmas were blacked out for the code that came out.

I don't know any codes but Thanksgiving is a perfect time to go! Last year we went and the weather and crowds couldn't be anymore perfect. Decorations are out at this time and the characters are decked out in their holiday costumes as well. If we weren't going for New Year's this time around I would most definitely go for Thanksgiving.

We were there for Thanksgiving last year and have our ressies already made for Thanksgiving 2007. We arrived Monday night and moved to Nick Hotel Sunday. We will NOT be going back to Nick this stay.

Tuesday was a great day not too crowded. Wednesday was getting more crowded. We spent the early part of Thanksgiving at AK which wasn't very crowded then went to DTD for dinner and to hang out. Friday and Saturday were very crowded We were at Epcot Friday and didn't get through much because of the crowds. The Fast Passes for Soaring were gone for the entire day by 12:30.

The decorations were out and the characters were all dressed in the xmas best. It was an awesome time to go which is why we are going back the same time next year. The tree lighting in Epcot was great, the Osborne lights at MGM were fabulous and MVMCP is a must do if you go next year.

I'm also hoping for some sort of code because we had to move up to a deluxe resort to fit the 5 of us because DD3 now counts according to WDW! I'll be keeping a close eye out here for months to come!

We loved that time of year. We went eight days before Thanksgiving (we get the week off in our school district) and the crowds were great. By Wednesday we had hit each park a couple of time and just relaxed Thanksgiving and Friday after. Don't forget to get your ADR in early the dinning was crazy on Thanksgiving.

We are also a family of five and rented points at BWV for sunday through Friday it was great. A one bedroom was more than enough room and very reasonable

To answer your question about decorations, yes they are out, the candlelight processional takes place, and also Osborne Family (??) Lights are going on as well. It is a wonderful time to go, really anytime between Thanksgiving and X-mas is my favorite. The weather tends to be nice (not hot not cool, just perfect), XMAS week is VERY VERY busy... thanksgiving is as well, but not nearly as packed... usually by Sunday following Thanksgiving it slows down quite a bit.

Just curious, what was the discount you were able to use last year?

I do not remember what code we used last year (2005) but this year 2006 (11/22-11/29) we used code ZCW, and thanksgiving was not blocked out (it ends 12/23 though... so xmas is!

We tried to use this code or another one like for a friend that checks in on the Nov. 18th and out on November 24th and were told those dates were blacked out because of Thanksgiving. Glad you were able to use it.

That is definetly not true about those dates being blacked out. I booked several clients for those dates with a discount and another this morning for the 20-25th. It may have been no availability where you were looking

it may be that the resort you chose (or they chose) is sold out of that code... when I called a few weeks ago only FQ and few of the values had the discount still available (as did GF way to expensive with two rooms). Check again, some of the CM are better at finding "deals" than others... I swear by this!

Might have gotten a CM that had no clue what they were talking about. I just remember the code stating that there were some black out dates--then again it could have been a different code. Just looked it up and it was a different code :For check-ins 11/1/06-12/23/06 you can get a special discount on a Magic Your Way vacation package. 11/19/06-11/23/06 and 12/2/06-12/8/06 may be excluded from this offer. Some hotels may have limited or no availability for certain dates.

You know you can still try... if they have availablity that is. Worth the try, it save me $498 (two rooms). The codes are:

Thanks I will pass that along t o my friends. The only problem is now that there are 3 rooms and each is under a different name. I can have one call then everyone else can change if it is possible.
