Nice job sandbagger er, I mean Lisa! :rotfl2: Way to sneak in with the multiple posts while no one is looking! Done like a true turkey!

Hey, newbie Melinda, I hope all is OK in your neck of Florida. We have a good friend who is originally from Enterprise, Alabama. We saw on the news last night that they got hit by a bad tornado yesterday.

OK, so we have now made it to 1000 posts, and November is a long way off! How long will it take to get to 2000?:woohoo:

I tried to tell her that TCD......:rolleyes1 Maybe for the RCCL sailing.....I don't think Pikey will have a contest like that this November........

I'm sailing on RCCL with "the girls" (three of my girlfriends who have never cruised before), and we're in serious countdown mode...only 15 days to go! When are you guys sailing? Also, any suggestions on what to do in Nassau? I'm a little worried about that port because I haven't heard too many good things about it.

Debbie, there are three families on this thread who are sailing the RCCL (Adventure of the Seas) July 1st. (There's still time for anyone who wishes to join us:cool1: !)

I've only been to Nassau once, but (okay, some people will think I'm crazy) I enjoy going to the Straw market. However, I love to shop while I'm in port and DH and DD enjoy the excursions. I do enjoy just relaxing on the beach though. If you and your friends like to shop, you might actually enjoy the market. (If anything, just to say you've been there.:) )

Hope you have fun! Post a report here when you return.:)

Lisa, Congrats on Post #1000 !!!!!
We were under tornado warnings all day long Thursday, but we never got anything like Enterprise, AL. That was just horrible. And speaking of delayed winter, last week I definitely had Spring Fever with 80ish' weather to now low 30's. We're definitely feeling some cool temps in NW Florida.
I know this may sound like a dumb question, but can anyone explain to me how to put the dates at the bottom of each post like everyone has about past trips or upcoming ones? I would really appreciate it.
Thanks, MelindaMac

Page 3? You guys are weak! I give Lampy and TCD a chance to take the posting lead, and you stumble!

tsk tsk tsk.....

Debbie-

If you have never been to Nassau, then you should plan on catching a taxi from the dock and going to Atlantis. It isn't very far-you will see it from the port. While there, you can visit the casino and restaurants. Also, a lot of people actually book a "day room" at the hotel. That gives you the right to have wristbands which will allow you to use the pools (which are really nice) and to tour the aquariums. Since there are four in your group, you can split the cost- probably would come out to less than $50 per person. A lot cheaper than any excursion, I am sure. You can book a room on line. There are a lot of threads about this day room issue on the main boards here.

The rest of Nassau is pretty unremarkable-if you don't go to Atlantis, I would stay on the ship.

So, is anyone here a pro golf fan?

There is a PGA tournament going on this weekend (The PODS Championship) at the golf course right across the street from my office in Palm Harbor, FL (Innisbrook Resort). There has been a blimp flying over yesterday and today. You can watch this afternoon on the golf channel, or tomorrow on NBC. Looks like we are going to have Chamber of Commerce weather.

Have a great weekend everybody!

Gee I thought my computer was broken because I hadn't received any DIS Turkey board mail lately. Sorry I don't say much online, I just enjoy reading all your crazy comments to each other. All I can say is this will be one interesting cruise.

Everyone must be having a very busy weekend...Friday was the last post!! :cool1:

Don't forget, if you haven't done so, change your clocks and spring forward today!! :cool1:

Howdy all.

Got my first sunburn of the 2007 year this weekend. Went to a friends place at Crystal Beach, near Galveston. Feels great to see the sun again. Had sand between my toes yesterday... And a Miller Lite in my fist! Then today is thunderstorms all dang day....

Lampy, where you hiding?? Is Chicago still frozen over?

I may get to finally visit Texas for the first time ever next February. I'm tentatively scheduled to go to a pension conference next year in Dallas. :)

Thanks for the info. on how to get the countdown ticker. I think I finally got it on my page. We'll soon see if it worked. We've been so busy. I haven't checked back lately. My kids are on spring break this week and the weather here in NW Florida has been gorgeous. We've just been taking it easy after finishing up basketball and before softball gets in full swing. Hope everyone is having as good of weather as we are. Have a great week, MelindaMac.:cool2: :cool1:

Willie-

Glad to hear that spring has sprung in your neck of the woods! Watch that sun, though.

I guess Lampy must have headed off on his spring break cruise :confused3 ?

I'm sure we will have some great photos from that trip.

P.S. Priscilla- you have been noticeably quiet lately. What gives?

Rob would beg to differ with you.:rotfl2:

I've been lurking more than posting. Life slows down (not in the best way) when it's cold in TX. (Though it's warming up now, thank God!) We're so happy daylight savings time is here now!:sunny: (We've planted tomatoes and are hoping for better results than last summer. )

What's everyone doing for spring break? Rob and Rachel are going to Oklahoma (for 3 days) to ride four-wheelers, leaving mom behind.:guilty: :teeth: (Time now to catch up on reading and shopping!)

I talked to Lampy yesterday. His RCCL cruise is April 1. He will go to Galveston a few days early to hang with the Texas Spring Breakers. He said he would enter as many wet T shirt and hot leg contests as they will let him. :scared1:

I begged him to not take pics.....

Unless Kim enters them with him...:cool2: :rolleyes1

Unfortunately we are not going away for spring break. Chuck is still trying to build up his practice. However, we will be going to WDW for Memorial Day weekend!!!!:cool1:
