Thanksgiving 2007? Join the official list here! 98 Families so Far!

We are official! I just made reservations for my Grand Gathering group of 12. Traditionally, we travel to my parent's house for Thanksgiving but this year I was able to convince my father and brother to join us for a short trip to the World. We will be at Pop 11/21-11/24. I think it is going to take the entire 8 months to come up with an itinerary for so many people for such a short trip but I am looking forward to the challenge!

Add us to your list. We will be there Nov. 18 - Nov. 24. Staying at the ASM.
Three families 4 adults, 4 kids and 2 grandparents.

flipflop2 - WELCOME to the DIS!! I am THINKING of trying to convince DH we need to go to DISNEY for THANKSGIVING! I have always wanted to be at DISNEY on Thanksgiving Day and this will be my last chance before my DS goes to High School and will be playing football on Thanksgiving Day for the next 4 years. GOOD excuse;) RIGHT? Joan

AlwaysEeyore,
We will be staying at the movies.

Joan S,
I hope that you will be able to convince you DH to go to Disney.

Add us to the list! We will be there from the 17th to the 25th.

Last time we were there for Thanksgiving dinner (2004) we ate at the Crystal Palace, and it was fantastic!

Hi everyone,

My DD and I are going to be at WDW with another single mom and her DD from 11/21 through 11/30. Right now, I have reservations at Pop but if we can somehow get a good discount, I'd like to upgrade to one of the moderates. We went the same time last year and was able to get a discount to stay at CSR for almost the same price as staying at Pop at rack rate.

Are the dates for the MVMCP out yet? We didn't do that last year but I'm thinking about doing it this year

We'll be there Nov. 17-24, staying at CSR. Last year we ate Thanksgiving Dinner at Trails End, it wasn't very good so we'll try something else this year.

We'll be there from 11/16 - 11/25. There will be 10 of us in total. We will be booking the Safari Celebration Grand Gathering on Thanksgiving day. I thought this would be a fun ending to a holiday even if we don't get traditional Thanksgiving food. We can have turkey when we go to LTT another day.

:yay: :yay:

I noticed you've gone to WDW the last few Thanksgivings. Can you give us all an idea of how crowded it will be and what the weather will be like?

Thanks!

Thanks!

The first time we went during Thanksgiving week in 2005 it was very crowded.:crowded: For example Space Mountain at night had a wait time of 120 minutes. :scared1: The weather was beautiful during the day that we wore shorts, but at night we had to put on sweatshirts. :sunny: For Thanksgiving week 2006 it was still crowded and it was cold all day long. We wore pants and jackets all day. :cold: But after going to WDW in August that weather was just fine. Matter of fact we were a little surprised about the weather after the previous year being so nice. I live in New York and it was warmer here that week then it was in WDW. Not sure this really helped but it just goes to show you as far as the weather goes be prepared for both types of weather and it will be crowded.:crowded: But because it's not so hot you don't mind the crowds and the wait time. I can tell you that both times they had decorations up already and it was beautiful. :santa: In 2006 they even started the MVMCP earlier so that was going on too. We did that in 2004. If you have any more questions feel free to ask me. Hope you have a magical pixiedust: trip! Maybe I will see you there. Keep looking for those November codes.:magnify:

Add us to the list. I actually just bought the plane tickets. The fares are pretty outrageous, but I've been watching a while and they haven't gone down. Today they posted a flight that was late enough so that the kids could go to the full day of school on the 16th. So we'll arrive late on the 16th. My concession to cost savings is to leave for home on the evening of the 23rd rather than spending the night and leaving the next morning. So, we'll have 7 park days. DH thinks that's too few to justify a trip, which is funny since he really doesn't even want to go! LOL. We are staying at the Poly. Hope I get a good code later on

We will arrive the sunday following Thanksgiving. Does that count for this group? POR Nov. 25 - Dec. 2

Has anyone eaten Thanksgiving dinner at 50s Prime Time or Cape Mays? These are the two places DH & I are thinking of eating. Only 6 weeks until we have to make our dining reservations -- so much planning! :goodvibes

We, two families of four, will be staying at the POP from 11/16 to 11/23. We are thinking 'Ohana's or WWC for Thanksgiving. Does anyone know what time they start serving supper? We are hoping to skip lunch and have an early supper, then back to which ever park has EMH.
